Mar 30 - Pakistan v India (Semi-Final 2)

The only time I remember when the successful reviews were counted was between India-Sri lanka Test series, when the UDRS first time were implemented in a match.

Not even in that dude . Dilshan successfully reversed one , and they still had 3 left (it used to be 3 successful reviews for a team then) .

I don't need to say anything. This puts Afridi right at the top of the respect ladder.

I found this translation in the youtube comments:
He said that "I dont understand why people of pakistan are so much against indians. Why they get so offended when we loose to india afterall there are other teams. Moreover most of our culture is similar to indians. He further adds that as long as your blessings are with us we will challenge even the best teams."

he is saying why to hate india.. why only india when u watch indian movies, dance on indian songs... and even every marriages in pakistan is happening in an indian way.. why? its just a game we defeated very good countries and we lost a game.

Just look at the video stats, more than 200 likes, and not a single dislike. Speaks volumes, considering there won't be a single India/Pakistan video on youtube without haters.

You supported Bangladesh zealously. I remember your posts in the first match and you also bet all your VCash on BD. Obviously someone who supports such a rubbish team is a Bangladeshi supporter. So you DO have a team and we (amongst others) mopped them out of the tournament.

Care to show me where I zealously supported Bangladesh? I explicably stated that they were the Dark Horses and had a chance to make it, considering they were playing at home. And anyone who's followed international cricket would agree they had improved considerably over the last 8 months in ODI's. Yeah, I was rooting for them, but only because I want more competitive teams in international cricket. I've also showed the same level support for NZ and SL throughout the tournament.

The closest thing I wouldd have to a team in cricket would probably be Pak, but that's only because I always find them fascinating to watch.

As for the VCash thing, that was only or a bit of fun. I don't take it seriously.

Also if we were to agree that yesterdays match was won by India because of Pakistan's incompetence, on thing to ponder over would be "what made the leading team of group A, crash out against us in a such a manner?" And if it is not our skill then what was it ?

I've already suggested it might have been the pressure. I'm not the only one who's been saying this. I know it's meant to be a comedic article, but Zaltzman agrees with me.

Its weird coming this from me, but whats the stance in Pakistan regarding this? I have seen people on fb supporting the team despite the loss then is it only the media that is creating the hype?

This world cup for Pakistan was a success. Afridi is a hero. That should be it.

Media and politics, the 2 things that never allow the 2 countries to become friends.
I saw a similar video on youtube of the team's arrival, and they were being cheered by the crowd, and so it should be, because they had a fantastic tournament. :)

Regarding the stance of the people in Pakistan, I believe every human would appreciate his words, and there is no way can anyone disagree with what's said, for the sake of humanity.. Be it the people of Pakistan, India, or any other who can understand the emotions.

In a sense I agree that it was a over-hyped match, but then India-Pakistan always has been.

We've beaten Pakistan 5 times in World Cup matches and lost none. So clearly India was a favourite in that semi-final. Pakistan had a historical barrier to break and clearly this current team's form wasn't good enough to overcome that barrier.

Pakistan only got themselves to blame for this loss. India didn't play that well, it's Pakistan who played really poor cricket. Tendulkar dropped 4 times, Hafeez's poor shot, not taking the batting PP with Afridi at the crease, Misbah and Younis not rotating the strike etc. That's just unacceptable in such a big game.

Losing to India

I don't need to say anything. This puts Afridi right at the top of the respect ladder.

I can only guess why they hate losing to India so much...I think they might have some misguided perceptions about "Indian Hindus being Weak" because mostly they don't eat meat and that "Indian Muslims are not original Muslims they are Converts" and hence weak.

I say this because two of my Pakistani friends told me these things.

Basically they might think they are Stronger than us and they hate losing to weaklings.

Again dont get me wrong I have many Pakistan friends who don't believe all this.
