Mar 30 - Pakistan v India (Semi-Final 2)

I can only guess why they hate losing to India so much...I think they might have some misguided perceptions about "Indian Hindus being Weak" because mostly they don't eat meat and that "Indian Muslims are not original Muslims they are Converts" and hence weak.

I say this because two of my Pakistani friends told me these things.

Basically they might think they are Stronger than us and they hate losing to weaklings.

Again dont get me wrong I have many Pakistan friends who don't believe all this.

Seriously? How old are you 12?

Successful reviews should be counted IMO.If I don't forget when UDRS was implemented in Ashes, successful ones were counted.

Thats stupid. If you have a successful review, you should get another chance to review. Whats the use of having only two reviews in an innings (both successful and unsuccessful)? It wont help eliminate errors from the game. If a review is successful, the team should get another chance to review.

Care to show me where I zealously supported Bangladesh? I explicably stated that they were the Dark Horses and had a chance to make it, considering they were playing at home. And anyone who's followed international cricket would agree they had improved considerably over the last 8 months in ODI's. Yeah, I was rooting for them, but only because I want more competitive teams in international cricket. I've also showed the same level support for NZ and SL throughout the tournament.

The closest thing I wouldd have to a team in cricket would probably be Pak, but that's only because I always find them fascinating to watch.

As for the VCash thing, that was only or a bit of fun. I don't take it seriously.

OK here we go....just from the India BD match thread and the BD "world contenders" thread.

The fact that they're playing in front of the home crowd will only inspire them more. Won't be that surprised if they manage to pull of what SL did in 96.

LOL,good one!

Tamim to give the Indian seamers the same treatment.

Heard it here first, folks. :spy

meh!

50 inside 5 overs. That's faster than India. They are going to put up a fight - great show :clap

And..boom....no more BD in WC.

Exactly. India's fast bowlers are more than capable of conceding over 350 runs.

Look what we did to Pakistan. To me all the posts above point that you are a big Bangladesh fan. You dont wanna support em now, cool with me.

What utter rubbish. Only illiterate fools would believe in this crap. Sure I remember an Interview of Waqar Younis in the 90's where is stated that the difference between Pakistani fast bowlers and Indian ones was that Pakistanis eat "gosht"(meat) and Indians (Srinath & Prasad) dont, but that does not imply that Pakistanis think Indians as weaklings. Infact Pakistanis have seen Indian might up close and personal more than anyone else and more than anything they respect it.

Think Ajmal makes a good point here. I remember watching it live when Tendy made his review & saying "ur wasting time Tendy" only to my shock tp see the URDS say the ball was missing the stumps.

I suspected Ajmal did bowl a arm-ball live & given he has confirmed it,no way should the URDS predicted an arm-ball (which goes straight) to have turned back leg-stump like an off-break.

The only thing that saved Sachin was the impact was way outside so the hawk eye went by that turn and missed the stumps . GOD knows the fan's reaction after that miss .

Seriously? How old are you 12?

I just repeated what I heard from a couple of people.
Germans hated losing to colored people in the 1940s because they thought they were the best race. Maybe something like that is going on over there.
Waqar has said Indians don't meat so they might not be strong.
Imran said Indians lack killer instinct.

There was no doubt in my mind that it was not out. I believe that It was absoultely clear LBW. The UDRS didn't concentrated much on the next ball stump even of Tendulkar. As far as me concerned, It was expected in Mohali

LOL!!!you should stop embarrassing yourself.

I don't understand all this crap surrounding his dismissal. Lets suppose for a minute that Hawkeye got it all wrong. So what, that was out of Pakistan's control. What me must see is what they did with things that were under their control. They dropped Saching four times. That was what cost us a match not the hawkeye deicision. So get over it my friends.

What rubbish. Keep on consoling yourself saying that. It just shows your mentality as a sore looser. While most of your countrymen including your skipper are gracious in defeat your attitude just invites others to come and rub more salt on your wounds. As far as cricket goes India is as honest and as unbiased as it goes. We did not challenge the toss in the final so you can pretty much be assured that Pakistan got a fair chance of winning the match at Mohali. Hawk eye worked the way it does and Sachin was not out. In fact fate could only help you so much but you dropped all the catches that Sachin gave to you. After three high pressure games on the trot India deserve the World cup more than anyone else.

I absolutely agree with you. Well said. Pakistan themselves have to blame and stop crying on decision. If they held their catches who knows what would be the result. Instead of blaming their fielding, they are blaming UDRS. I guess that's why their fielding never improve :rolleyes

I dont recall him blaming the UDRS for causing us to lose?

I havent really seen the appeal, but from reading articles it seems the HawkEye assumed the bowl was an off-spinner rather than doosra or the straighter one? Can someone clear that out for me?

Eitherways some decisions go against you some go in favour. Dont really need to look too much into this decision tbh, its a bigger concern that we dropped him so many times. :facepalm
