Hmm, I thought there'd be two killings since there's 2 mafia factions, unlucky Radonx, look like one of the factions lost a role detector or something similar.
Not sure what the girl parts about.
Looks like one of the factions has a doc and the cop got nothin'

Bah, I can't make too much of the write-up. I'll give whatever I can understand.

Para 1- I think that someone was being taken into a faction. The dude refused to join either. Note the "try and get hold of him". I don't think he was being targeted to killed because of the doctor description saying that his save was never in harm.
Para 2- Radonx must have been some kind of role finder or a type of cop. He was killed when he got something interesting to go on.
Para 3- It indicates some dude trying to find his partner for some kind of reason. Might be masons or stuff.
Para 4- Doctor, thats obvious.
Para 5- Another investigation, just what BKB said.
Para 6- This is very vague but we can take the idea that some faction was on the lookout for something. The dude with the job must have been blocked.

Write-up apart, we have had a very good night. We lost a Barzini, and it's good fur us. I'll be on later today, or even tomorrow.

So that was a good Night 0 for us. I see that some people have already given their views on the write-up and I'll too pour my thoughts in.

Para 1 probably means that both the mafia groups targeted the same person. The 2nd mafia group probably tried to recruit him, that's what I get from the statement that 'the second was harder'.

Second para is for the death of Randonx. He found something interesting but it doesn't hurt us much as he was Barzini aligned.

Para 3 is little confusing. Probably someone is searching for someone or something.

4th para - Sorry I can hardly understand what was indicated. Someone tried to protect a guy but nobody targeted the guy?

5th para - A tracker or a watcher who did not find anything useful

Last para - As Zhuorb said, somebody was role-blocked I guess.

I'm a bit lost here, I feel. Radonx was who? Two mafias teams? That's interesting. I have zero knowledge about the Godfather theme so, someone please help. I agree with the writeup analysis whatever has been done so far. The girls thing is interesting. 'I can get you a girl. Not the right girl though.' What could this mean if we relate it to the theme?

This may not sound important but "not the right girl though" isn't actually part of the quote.

Also I'd like to register my disappointment at how few of you have seen the Godfather (or read the book). I hope this game inspires you to do so.

My interpretation:

1st Para: Agree with others. Both the mafia families targeted supposedly a civilian, and while he denied the first request, he accepted the other? Sounds plausible and at the same time weird.

2nd Para: The same. Radonx killed, and he was probably a role cop.

3rd para: Can't make anything definite of it. Sounds like a investigative role, but the last line is very confusing.

4rd para: Someone trying to find a girl, a big man busdrives him (?), and he ends up talking to a man who is a pimp?? The other is the doc, and I'm not at all sure to which faction he belongs. He knew the person he was protecting so I don't think he is town.

5th para: Tracker or watcher.

6th para: Unclear. Vibes of a roleblocker involved here but cannot be sure.

Weird that you left it that laconically compared to others. You didn't explain your views on the other description of this paragraph, and I don't see how just 'Doctor, that's obvious' completely explains the other as well.

It contains clues to the game make-up but everyone had pretty much figured that out anyway.

I've (annoyingly) got a post limitation of 1 per Day phase, so I'll be one of the last to post each time, it's a ball ache but I don't fancy a mod-induced death.

I'm on the train, so I've got a bit of time, but my conclusions are no different to anyone else's given so far:

1st - Recruitment. Second group gets to him, but he's not necessarily accepted the offer on the table?
2nd - "Given the job of" a goon? Note I have no knowledge of the Godfather films so I have no idea what the factions are, but he could (have been) a hitman doing the [Mafia boss's] killing?
3rd - No clue
4th - Mafia playing a double-bluff early doors? A planned doctor protection to be called upon later on in the game..? In any case there was no danger to begin with.
5th - Observational role (watcher/tracker) who learns nothing.
Last - Someone's been roleblocked here.

Given I've got no other opportunity to register a vote:
