Start the old debate again? Whom are we going to lynch on the basis of no solid evidence whatsoever? As far as I see it, chances are high that we'd hit a town rather than mafia, especially since there aren't any inexperienced players here (excusing puddleduck, because he knows how to play).
Two mafias is what it should be, but I'm not sure about the rest of the roles.
Slightly concerning this post. We get one mislynch and you're proposing we blow it on day 1 when we have no game info at odds of 2/7 (probably).
I find that very scummy as taking a random punt and failing turns the next lynch into MyLo.
I always get lost in the maths for seven player games.
I think you might be right that the only mislynch we will get in this game is day 1. After that it becomes MyLo.

But if we mislynch now, then although we'd still be at MYLO at Day 2, any chance of blocking the night kill by any means will be blown as well if we mislynch on Day 2. If we no lynch, then we still have two nights during which potentially the doc or any other preventive role can still stop the kill.
I'm not debating in favour of no lynch on Day 1, or saying that we should definitely no lynch; but I'm saying that given that you don't know the breakup of the game and how the roles are balanced and who is what and what may happen and so on, it doesn't make any sense to force a lynch on Day 1 when we don't have anyone to suspect. Sure, if someone acts scummy and their odds of being scum are high, then lynch them. But lynching without any reason is nonsense.

So basically, you're saying that we should not use our only chance in which we lynch wrong we won't lose. You wanna pray for the doctor to save? We do not even if there is a doctor, and you want to pray for a doc save? Pretty kinky, eh? I say we lynch today, no matter what. No, I'm not saying we should lynch on Day 1 or should not, but 'lynching no matter what' is pointless. You need to read my post again.

Every game I've played so far has been a no lynch first day, but I've been keen for a lynch every time.
Initially Zhuorb's posts seem fairly dodgy to me since he seems very keen to push through a lynch which if he's mafia and he knows is being directed towards a town member puts him in a very good position.
I will find it tough to trust him, as last time I played with him he was mafia and took a very similar tactic. That is he was first to really push for the no lynch/lynch under the guise of it being the best thing town could do.
Not much on anyone else though yet. I'd like to quote Manly from the last game and say I have a crap role, and it would be a waste for the cop, which I'm sure we have, to investigate me.

Thing is, why hasn't puddleduck being posting as much? I remember coming back every 20 minutes and finding a puddleduck post from the past 2 games. Thing is, I'm actually starting to look scummy, just because I tried to lynch someone, to get them to talk. WTH? Lets see the scenarios, since we all basically agree on the fact that there are 2 mafia.
? No Lynch. Wastes our chance of the mislynch. Makes the next day MYLO. We will have to No Lynch and proceed to LYLO. We can lynch, but if we lynch wrong, and if there's a doc, and if the doc saves, we are in the same position as we would be in by the second case.
? Lynch. If we are wrong, we head straight into LYLO. Same situation as the first scenario, with all the ifs being true. Better we come here through lynching rather than the first case. We get some information over what's happening, as this lynching topic has already created some discussion.
? Lynch. We lynch correct. If we do, we have another mislynch for the next day. Which makes this game almost an auto-win, because we must have some town power roles, who can give some information.

My reluctance to mislynch is that my role sort of implicitly tells me that there is a cop. If we mislynch and it's the cop then with a successful mafia kill tonight we'd be buggered.
I haven't been posting as much because there's not much for me to go on yet. Not to mention that thus far I've posted lots and been night killed, successfully pinpointed mafia and been night killed when the doc went missing and then probably talked too much when I was mafia and sealed my own day lynch. For those reasons, I think I need to be quieter, not to mention my role is a tricky one that only gets me in trouble if I draw suspicion

When Manly said he had a crap role he actually meant that he was Vanilla Townie didn't he? Is your role 'crap' in the same way Manly's was, or as I believe in some other way because you've just said it is tricky.
I still don't think Zhuorb makes much sense in enforcing the Day 1 lynch.

No I'm not a pure vanilla townie. I'm actually one of the roles I ended up stumbling across trying to see what roles might be in the last game. I think anyone who knows mafia roles will work out fairly quickly what I am. As I said, I'm sure there is a cop as a result of my role, and I would suggest they don't waste an investigation on me. Probably all sounds a bit contrived, but it's about as much as I'm gonna say unless forced.
I've had your role before and I think claiming it on day 1 is the best way to play it. Big risk for a mafia to claim it and get CCed. It's also more convincing before rather than after the cop investigates you.
Regarding the posting less thing the danger is that everyone is ultra-cautious and we end up with low activity. I've tried posting and analysing less before to avoid getting night killed but generally I just can't help myself and post anyway!
