Have you ever seen anybody getting this amount because of his brother's performance.
Strike rate of 138 with bat,16.3 with ball at an economy of under 6,not bad. But for sure he hasn't deserved that much an amount. But in an auction in which Negi got sold with best amount and Guptill,Finch went unsold,it is not much a surprise.

Last played nearly an year before showed that the stats are not showing everything about him.
Max Price for him would be 50lakh.

But I think it doesn't really mattered about price for MI.They already had enough players they wanted even before the auction imo.Once they got Butler,Southee and Nathu Singh they weren't concerned about how much they are spending. In the end having much money back in the purse is of no use.

Rohit Sharma
Parthiv Patel
Lendle Simmons
Ambati Rayudu
Corey Anderson
Kieron Pollard
Hardhik Pandhya
Harbhajan Singh
R Vinay Kumar
Lasith Malinga
Jasprit Bumrah/Shreyas Gopal

This would be one among the atleast 5 of those possible best XIs. :D

I'd be amazed if Jos Buttler doesn't get into their best Xl.

^ I think it will be very difficult for Jos to get in their best 11 because Mumbai's overseas players are already fixed from last season. They had Lendle Simmons who performed exceptionally well as an opener. Pollard and Malinga are fixed unless there is an injury concern. That leaves one spot which is likely to taken by Corey Anderson due to his all-round ability. If however, Hardik Pandya does well as an all-rounder, you might see Jos Butler take place of Corey Anderson.

Maybe Southee/Mc'an get some games as Mc did well last season after CA's injury and Southee pretty impressed for RR.

Oh yeh, I totally forgot about Mitchell McClenaghan. He was very crucial to MI last year after he was drafted in the squad. Well that makes it even more difficult for Jos to get in. In Bumrah, they have a good bowler who can bowl well at the death because Malinga has been a bit off colour lately.
