I hate to admit it,but England have the upper hand right now.

And you say you are 12 year old, what is this world coming to with 12 year olds showing this kind of maturity. :p :D

After Solanki was bowled yes..feeling a bit better that Tresco is still there ;) Kasprowicz's first spell 5-1-17-1 was a beauty, Strauss really struggled in that period he was 12 off 35 etc but in last 5 overs he smashed 25 off 13 deliveries faced. Both have batted very confidently against spin I'd say If these two can go on for another 40-50 runs England fans should feel they have it sealed (well most of them anyway :p ). but knowing the history of previous contests with Ravi, anything can happen..

any strategy suggestions from the Aussie camp? ;)

England Win the Natwest Series

5 Overs: Plenty of excitement already as Gillespie struck first blood for Australia when he clean bowled Solanki for 0, ball pitched on middle and moved away slightly to beat his on drive. Trescothick and Vaughan started cautiously but then played some beautiful strokes (Tresco's on drive shot of the innings so far) to make sure they don't fall too much behind the asking rate. England 23 for 1.

10 Overs: Trescothick and Vaughan doing a fine job as England are off to a solid start. Trescothick's dream run continues as he is looking in fine touch once again. The momentum has changed a bit towards England last 5 overs, Ponting looking for a breakthrough now. England 53 for 1.

15 Overs: Ponting got the breakthrough he needed as Kasprowicz struck in his first over. After a smashing cut for 4 off very first ball, Vaughan (22 off 23) was deceived by a slower one and edged to Gilchrist who took a fine diving catch. Trescothick meanwhile continued piling runs as he reached his 50 of 57 balls. England 74 for 2.

20 Overs: Strauss and Trescothick are looking to rebuild the innings. Some problems for Ponting as Hogg proved expensive in his first 2 overs, hero of last match Symonds to have a bowl. Important stage of the match coming up as Australians looking for a wicket while England would like these two to continue. England 105 for 2.

25 Overs: (Drinks break) England are slowly but surely gaining the upper hand as this pair is looking more and more comfortable. Symonds started well and with Ponting getting Kasprowicz back there was some tension around. But Strauss who so far was struggling a bit and mainly prepared to give Trescothick the strike dramatically switched gears. Symonds was first driven and later swept for 4 in his 2nd over. But may be the turning point came in Kasprowicz's over when a leg side full length ball was smashed high in midwicket stand (to make matters worse it was a no ball!) and another welcome 4 came in the same over.
So big decision time for Ponting, for England still a fair way to go and it's important for these two to stay there. One can feel this may well be deciding phase of this cracking final match. We will be back after this short break. England 142 for 2.

30 Overs: Gillespie finally got the breakthrough as he dismissed Trescothick for a superb 80. Pietersen looked to attack from the word go and struck couple of fine 4s to keep the asking rate under control. England 173 for 3.

35 Overs: England are moving towards a victory here as this pair has added 50 runs in no time. Strauss also completed his 50 (71 balls). Time is running out for Ponting, unless they get a wicket or 2 in next 5 overs England are certain to lift the Natwest trophy. England 207 for 3.

40 Overs: England are just 46 runs away from victory. Ponting going for one last throw of dice, Martyn to have an over. England 234 for 3.

45 Overs: A hard hitting camio by Flintoff 17 off 7 with 2 4s, 1 6 ensured that there were no surprises as England raced to the winning total in the 45th over. Pietersen playing a crucial knock remained not out on 66 off 51 balls. The final few overs were not without controversy as Martyn delivered his first ball running between the umpire and stumps (like spinners do) which resulted some heated words being exchanged in the middle. Thankfully Ponting took him off after one over and things went fine after that.

So a terrific win for England by 5 wickets! been one great series with plenty of ups and downs and in the end England got the reward for some consitent batting and good efforts in bowling and fielding.
