Around 6 years after original Brian Lara Cricket (Shane Warne Cricket in Australia) for the PC and Playstation was released Codemasters have today annouced the follow up to the game that many people say is still the best Cricket game ever made.
Codemasters have again signed up Brian Lara for the game which will be released in the UK in Summer 2005 as well as a deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC) meaning the game witll have it's official tournaments, international teams, players, venues and authentic strips.
Commenting on the deal Brian Lara said "It's great to be back working with Codemasters again, I've always been proud of my association with the games ? I'm often asked if a new one was coming. Codemasters always does a great job in capturing the essence of cricket and I know they've brought me, and the sport in general, a whole lot of new supporters."
The new official cricket game of the ICC will be titled Brian Lara International Cricket and will be developed by Codemasters and Swordfish Studios. It will be released on PC, PS2 and Xbox in the Summer of 2005.
