New Zealand A tour of India

I don't know why you like Karthik so much. He's crap ;)

There is a thread for this in the International Tours and Events forum. To preserve the Dinesh 'God' Karthik nickname, I will go ahead and merge this thread with that.

I just met Abhishekh Nayar! :D :D

Went to Mumbai vs Vidharbha (sp?) at Vivekananda College near my house. It was a good match actually, Vidharbha 130/3 at lunch. Nayar took a SWEET caught and bowled - struck hard to his left, just put his hand out and it stuck. Was amazing.

Hopefully will go see NZA at Chepauk tomorrow, or TN next week.

Going back to the game for the evening session, too hot for the post-lunch one. Hopefully I can get to see Mumbai bat.

Our future openers in the runs again, Watling just made 97 in NZ A's first proper game in this tournament. NZ A finished the day on 317-9.

Nathan McCullum made 57, Jamie How 47, Peter Fulton 40, and Kyle Mills 42.

Watling made two hundreds in his last two emerging player games, looks very promising.

Yeah, but the innings was very slow. Off like, 211 deliveries with 42 singles. Reports also said that he struggled to time it throughout the innings.

Fulton, though, hit 4 big sixes during his innings.

Rains today, will probably wash out the 2nd day of the first round.

New Zealand Cricket - Bond comeback off to spectacular start

Wicket of his first ball, get him back in the team.

Shane Bond?s return to New Zealand international cricket has got off to a flying start.

Playing for a national side for the first time since 2007, Bond took a wicket with his first ball for the New Zealand A team in India today.

New Zealand A is playing a Combined Districts XI in the second round of the Buchi Babu All-India Invitation Tournament in Chennai.

New Zealand lost the toss and were put into the field. Bond opened the bowling and with his first delivery bowled Thalaivan Sargunam.

After 10 overs Combined Districts were 36 for 2 ? Bond taking both wickets, with figures of 2 for 14 off four overs.

Man, I was going to go to that game, instead went to Saurashra vs Kerela :p. Pretty good cricket actually, Keralite openers were really timing it sweetly. I went for Pujara though, and he's not here as he's out with a knee injury.

After the game I headed out to the Tamil Nadu vs MP game, most boring cricket I have EVER watched. The only positive was that I got a photo and an autograph of one of my favorite cricketers, S Badrinath. (Did you know he had a tattoo?!)

Yeah, and no KKD either, he was rested for this game. :crying

It isn't up on the Blackcaps site but last I heard Bond had 3/24 of 13 overs I think. Sorry but they didn't say the score.
