New Zealand Domestic Season

They must really rate Butler's batting then
They do actually, maybe a bit too much though because he hasn't performed to the standards he's capable of in the last 2 seasons barring the odd quick 40-50.

I still think Wells would be ahead of Butler if there was at least 5 or 6 overs remaining, considering he was an opener until not long ago, and I don't see him as a finisher.

And why wasn't Brendon McCullum down to play today? Too cool?

Well I'd prefer him to be fit for the Pakistan matches and the World Cup than to be playing domestic cricket...

FFS, today's match will also be abandoned, it's been pissing down all morning. :mad

Well at least NZ cricket should have learnt its lesson, dont schedule the twenty20 for December. Then again if you had it in January it would clash with the internationals so I guess you can't win...

Well we've had like two weeks on no rain whatsoever, so it's only normal to have a bit of rain, but assuming it rains today which it's meant to, that will be five days in a row that it has, which is very unusual for this time of year.

This is the only break in the international calendar really, and I assume they wanted the Blackcaps to play in some of the matches, hence why they scheduled it now. Also it's school holidays etc.

There was an article in the paper about creating a gap in the international schedule for the HRV cup. Also something about privatising the regional teams.

Just wondering for my story, what's Jono Boult's ability with bat/ball like.
I know he's talented, but I'm more wondering is he a genuine AR, or a bowling AR?

Well he's opened the batting in a T20 before (the first one this season I think) so he's not shabby with the bat.

Yeah it's just been a matter of them confirming it really. Really good moves in my opinion.
