New Zealand Domestic Season

Bring on the next 50 over/T20 season, I'm getting sick of watching Auckland get wasted in FC cricket.

Greatbatch was smacking it all round the place. I assume Astle and Macca aren't playing because of the earthquake, as they're both from Canterbury.

Does anyone know whether that B. Martin in the Auckland team is Bruce Martin?? If it is I had no idea he moved from ND although he'd be pretty old now..

Greatbatch was looking really good out there, could probably do a better job than How lol.

Yeah it is, I saw him in the paper last week playing for one of our club teams.

Yea, Donnelly and Boult have taken over the spin reins up in ND, so he's moved down to find some game time.

We have too many good bowlers. I think we'd rather develop our younger ones who have talent than keep our older ones.

Yeah definitely, I still cant believe he got 7 wickets though, spinners dont really get huge hauls of wickets like that in NZ. At least Trent Boult is doing well though.

Play had been interrupted because of rain, so to try and get a result Kruger van Wyk declared overnight. Otago batted for a bit on the fourth day before declaring, leaving CD something like 370 from 90 overs.

But 300 runs behind on a day 4? Not smart (unless they needed a win desperately).

CD are currently at the top of the table. But I agree it wasn't a smart move. I don't care though because it means ND are closer to CD :D

They did have points to burn though tbh, they had more than double the next placed team
