Can someone fill me in on Daryl Mitchell (ND). I can only find an English and an Australian one, at a guess I'm assuming it's the Aussie one, but even that doesn't make such sense.

Not really sure what to make of that, only time will tell I guess.

He's John Mitchell's son, played age group cricket for ND up to Under 17's before moving to WA with his family six years ago (as a 14 year old). He played for the Australian academy last season as well as the WA second XI, he also played for ND in the Under 23 tournament. He's a Kiwi and wants to play for New Zealand basically.

Ok, that makes sense. :cheers

I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the Aucklanders from last season go elsewhere, the likes of Todd, Hira etc. are all fighting over one contract atm. Hira will probably miss out, because we've already got two specialist spinners there.

Think that was an error by the scorer. More likely it was Kitchen bowling

That does seem kind of odd if they did bowl Watling, is Trent Boult over there?? I thought he would be playing..

Yep he is. I think he played in the other matches

Greg Todd's getting around a bit. Now that both of the Parlane's have gone, he's probably the biggest journeyman going around along with Yovich and B Martin.

I'm referring to people who've played a crap load of domestic cricket, but have never played international cricket. :/

Wiki - A journeyman is someone who completed an apprenticeship and was fully educated in a trade or craft, but not yet a master. :p

We took a step backwards in my opinion by giving Burtt our last contract, really doubt his body will hold up should have gone to one of the youngsters. Also I thought Bradley Scott was playing for Otago this season??

"A worker or sports player who is reliable but not outstanding"

I felt it was someone who never settled in one place but kept playing for a whole heap of provinces trying to find some good form
