New Zealand Domestic Season

Ever since Fulton took over the Canterbury captaincy we've been horrible. Give it back to Van Wyk. Fulton's personal performances have also plummeted. With the Bangladesh test coming up I don't see him as any chance at all right now.

Rob Nicol has been excellent for us. The move has done him good as well as us. Thank god he came down.

Bopara scoring runs at Cobham Oval, who would of thought it. It's a tough place to score runs so it's probably good for Auckland that he came through today.

Kane Williamson's going along nicely though, 29* so far and going for his 5th score of 50+ in a row.

Williamson goes for 81 and Yovich follows him two balls later, game back on IMO. ND still need another 20 runs with two new batsmen at the crease.

Pushes that career record of his up to 58.2 :D Insane.

Howsie added 10 Minutes and 31 Seconds later...

Stewart hit 100 of only 78 balls to get Canterbury up over Wellington also. He must surely not be far of getting a New Zealand one day call up. Would be the perfect number six IMO.

He would have been in the NZ side now had he not failed so badly in the HRV cup. Probably gave Broom an extra chance in the side because of it.

Wow, gutted I didn't go down and watch now. Was considering it. Stewart you beauty. That Brownlie guy has been doing well. He was really the only positive from the HRV cup. He's an Aussie which explains why he's such a good batsman haha.

Williamson again. Played the perfect innings. Only 5 fours but obviously showed a lot of patience and took the singles etc. Strike rate not great but it didn't need to be. Well paced young man. Good maturity.

Great to see Canterbury with the win yesterday, don't see nearly enough of it!

Wililamson is definitely going to be a Black Cap one day, I just wish we could bundle him over to Aussie for a season or two to play in their domestic cometition first. it would do him a world of good, a lot more then the NZ domestic comp

Guess its time to switch my support to the Knights for the rest of the one day comp, lesser of the four evils.

Auckland - Ponces
Canterbury - Still bitter from the years of dominance
Central - Ewen Thompson

:thumbs Good stuff. Although as they say, once you go Kinght you never reunite. Where just that good :p

I guess it's your fault Wellington played so bad :p look what you've done to Northern :laugh

Lol, Northern got wastafied!!!
They have relied a bit on Williamson (in the OD's), and he didn't get going today.
Great bowling by all our players, esp Bates and Scotty.

Central were too strong for Canterbury, which was probably expected.
Sinclair continues to dominate, and Diamanti as a specialist batsmen...

The Canterbury game was close. Didn't go watch it. Sinclair is a big gamer player and he was just too good it seems. Interesting that Bennett came back in. I guess with our bowling stocks he had to. I kind of forgot about Burtt this season but seeing him during the ODI doing promo and on the cricketers show reminded me of him. He's a very promising bowler. Sucked we didn't have him.

I think Canterbury can be proud of their semi-final placing.
