New Zealand in Australia Nov-Dec 2008 Feb 2009

I say Hodge, Hussey is more explosive but Hodge is more consistent, and consistency is what we need right now.

He couldn't do much worse.

As long as Haddin is going to bat this badly, we might as well promote Crostwhaite for his glovework.

Trust me, he could do a lot worse. He's not even a great keeper.

I can't help but feel Hodge and Hussey would just play a loose shot and get out as well. I'd greatly favour Tim Paine in a side that is lacking grit. George Bailey is starting to come of age, long known for power, but has been looking like one of Tassie's most resilient players this year.

Could be right although David Hussey has an average of 55 so he certainly isn't one to get out cheaply. And it's hard to ignore the brother of Mike Hussey thinking what he could do. But if we are really looking for someone that won't play stupid shots then Michael Klinger is the man. I know he is only hitting form this season but hes been the rock for SA.

Vettori gets rid of Johnson, just 1 wicket remaining now,who would have imagined that Aus will collapse 1st day playing at home, that too against NZ,who dosent have Bond or any fast bowler who can extract something from Aus wickets!

Come on boys, 1 more. Finish it off!

We're letting the Aussies off the hook, they shouldn't have got 200.

Lol love watching the number 11 bat. Clark stumbled, did a turn, slipped while still managing to get back. While Clarke is going omg I nearly got stranded by Clark slipping. And it seems Vettori was trying to trick Clark into thinking the ball was coming back.

Both S Clark & M Clarke playing well,M Clarke is close to 100,will he get there????If he gets there,it would be one of the best 100's of recent times, playing when the team needs the most.

Clark is playing better than our so called all rounders. Even more reason why we should be playing specialist.

M Clarke out on 98,splendid inngs, its just because of him Aus managed a score of 214.

HAHA nice bowling :D

Though I do have to say, he did deserve his century.

NZ have found a handy part timer in Ryder. Poor Pup he deserved a 100 there, just the pressure got to him. Clark won't be happy he reeled in his shots so that Clarke could get a 100.

Ryder! Woooo. Was a great ball too. Well bowled Ryder!

The bowling attack was brilliant! All of them contributed. Southee's the man though set the tone!

Now the openers have one simple task, survive tonight.

Well played Clarke , unlucky not to get the ton. Pretty good bowling effort from the kiwis but the fatboy Ryder getting 2 wickets , now thats just wrong.

Need early wickets:mad:

I'm in no hurry to rate Klinger's performances at Adelaide against batsmen grappling with the sporting pitches in every other state. Dave Hussey certainly deserves a call up, but I wonder about the balance of the team. He's certainly very versatile, but I'm not sure he's a panacea for difficult conditions.

Also, make a note, the floodlights were on at the Gabba, but stumps was still called due to bad light.
