New Zealand in Australia Nov-Dec 2008 Feb 2009

Gutted all those singles in these overs leads to that. He also limps off the field not what we needed with him finally getting back into some ODI form. Looks like he won't be in the field either, that means one bowler down and a captain.

Pessimists the lot of you.

You have to look at all those 10 from 20 type scores in there. Putting on a big partnership is its own reward. It's tough to get in and every time a batsman fails to hang around, a huge amount of pressure is put on the next man up. If Australia bowl well enough to keep NZ unsettled, they should struggle in the chase.

A par score from Australia. They really need to bowl well here to win this match

226 is very gettable just need McCullum firing. Even Taylor making runs should be enough here for the Kiwis. We don't have the spinner to do the slowing down role that the Kiwis did and if Johnson does his wayward bowling then we have one bowling releasing the pressure again something the Kiwis didn't do.

Selfish batting from Clarke. 98 from 133 in modern times is a mediocre effort at best. Had he batted a tad more positively, Aussies could have scored 250+ easily.

I agree with you, he should've scored runs much faster

3 early wickets just when partnerships were building and tight bowling kind of makes it hard to always score quickly.

Looks like Hilfy needs to get the ball to go straight on rather than swing, then he might be more dangerous. But the swing of Bracken is looking more dangerous than the swing of Hilfy.

Hilfy is usless, why Tait is not playing ?

Yeah, obviously leaving the side at 4/100 for the sake of scoring quickly would have been the right thing to do.

There have been even worse situations, and yet batsmen who finished with near 100 SR at the end of facing 133 deliveries. Never gave Australia the momentum when they had to.

Briiliant, cant even gather a ball properly  bunch of bollocks
