Bells doubtful, not sure what will happen, is Cook fit? If not we have got to go with Broad to open imo Is Sidebum fit too? All going wrong for England now.

Yeh, Sidebottom is fit. I'd be tempted to drop Jimmy tbh, won't happen, Tremlett will go out for Sidebottom. I assume Cook replaces Bell at the top of the innings.

Cook would be a comfortable replacement Bell, also bringing a left/right hand opening combination. Even though Jimmy had a horrible game on Saturday, he's still our best ODI bowler I think so Tremlett will most probably be expensed with. I'd like to Shah up the order ahead of Bopara but that's not gonna happen.

Anderson has lost the reigns to Broad for our best ODI bowler. Broad has shown a lot more consistency than his more experienced counter-part. I know who I trust more with the ball.

What I mean is though Broad is remarkably consistent and can be relied on to either go for less than 40 or pick up a few wickets, Anderson has proven he has the ability to rip through an order - something I haven't seen Broad do yet although he inevitably will.

This opening combination would be considered to me as disfunctional to say the least. Wright still has yet to prove he can be an effective aggressive opener and Cook is still to prove that he is a ODI player. Bell was much more comfortable opening so it leaves a hole for me.

Cook is a good test player but he is slow in ODIs. I don't think he's dynamic enough in this form as Bell. Add that to Wright who is a bit hit and miss and England's top order is very fragile. As for Sidebottom coming in. Anderson has been playing a lot longer than Tremlett. I've seen tremlett before and he is hot and cold much like Anderson. Though that was a while ago. He could've improved. I'm tempted with Anderson considering he can run through sides.

Bells fit =D. Sidebottom in for Tremlett. That's the only change to the side. Cook's not a One Day player for me, he may not have experience, but in the games he's played he's batted too slow, Bell's a much better opener. Hopefully Wrighty will get some runs again.

Cook is capable of scoring and he certainly wouldn't be the only work-in-progress in the side. For now, it's no great crime to leave him out, but there will come a time when it can be assessed whether England wasted him or not.
