New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

I knew Martin was going to be expensive. So far he has been and against Sehwag it isn't going to get much better.

Martin's been absolutely terrible. He's way too slow as well.

Bennett though has been bowling quite well, got some serious speed on this track, and was averaging over 140. He's getting the ball to move a decent amount too.

It will be a good effort to dismiss them for less than 650, well thats depending on when they declare though.

Spin in the eighth over... this is why we should have played the man in my avatar. Be much more value than Patel.

You said Bennett would be expensive as well. So far so good. :p

Gambhir looks so out of touch. He's not timing it well and missing out on width deliveries.

Did I? I don't remember lol. But normally a fast bowler on debut is quite wayward. He has been lucky that he's mostly been bowling to Gambhir though.

Even though Gambhir hasn't looked in the best touch, it's Sehwag that's the important wicket really.

Yep. Here:

I can see Bennett going for quite a few runs as well, especially on debut. And Watling shouldn't play at 3, seeing as he is by nature an opener.

Sehwag should have a real field day with the NZ attack.

oh ok :p

Well I'm happy that he hasn't. Him and Southee are probably the future of NZ's fast bowling attack it would seem.

If you were going to play two quicks wouldn't you go with McKay and either Bennett or Martin, just for a bit of variety at least.

Two quicks I would have gone Bennett + Arnel. But I wouldn't have gone with two quicks. Especially with one of them on debut.

Yeah Martin really just isn't up to it anymore but I thought at least McKay is a left armer which is at least something different.

LOL Ryder has taken a wicket! Most unlikely person really but great news for NZ fans.

Inside edge onto the stumps by Gambhir. He didn't look comfortable at all. The problem with this is that Dravid is in now...

Then quite a few problems to follow haha.

Loving watching this though, sitting in the sun watching test cricket, doesn't get much better.

Why is Patel playing? And I see McCullum is not keeping.

There is no point in playing Patel just for the fact that you are playing in India. Its better to stick to your strength and then take it from there.
