New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

The pitches over there will be flater than the ones here in NZ

I doubt that, I remember that series, one of the tests, on the third or fourth day they did a pitch report and the wicket was absolutely pristine, they just weren't breaking up at all.

If india have any sense, all the wickets should encourage results, similar wickets to the ones from the australian series would be fine, I don't really see how they can loose a match against New Zealand at home.

Well maybe they'll realise the coach won't stick by them any more and they'll actually have to perform?

Yeah im not saying what he said was wrong thats for sure, good on him for having the guts to say it. But I don't know whether it will affect them in a good way. Especially the big heads like McCullum.

Last time we versed them they were pretty much full strength, and they only won one nil (three matches).
The pitches over there will be flater than the ones here in NZ, plus I guess there's a bit of rain around considering the recent Aussie ODI series.
Remember India's bowling isn't magical, and we only need one of McCullum, Taylor, Ryder to get going for one day and that could take the India win away.
In six innings I'm pretty sure we will post at least one decent score, hence why I think there will be one draw.
I'm pretty sure we can't win and matches though, because we won't be able to take 20 wickets.

We would have won 2-0 in NZ if not for the rained out last day at the final test. NZ were 8 wickets down when it got washed out. That series was practically 2-0 to India and considering the fact that Pakistan who are considered to be a superior bowling attack in tests almost lost the series in NZ straight after, I don`t know how to judge a sides` ability to win tests.

Yeah I remember that we were only really did alright in the second game, got thrashed in the first one and would've got thrashed in third if not for the rain. I think we are slightly overrating our batting and underrating Indias bowling (when compared to us). Harbhajan and Ojha should be able to tear through our brittle batting. And on the note of flat pitches I think that will be irrelevant as in Sri Lanka not too long ago we got pummeled 2-0 on flat wickets. Struggling to get scores of 250-300.

Kiwis are going to get clobbered so bad. Their batting might fire once, but even against a flat Indian attack on relatively flat pitches, they will still suck :p Same goes for their bowling, they might cause an Indian collapse once in the series, but that will be quickly forgotten.

Could be some painful viewing for NZ fans, but some amazing viewing for Indian fans. Is Sachin even going to be dismissed at all in this series?? Going to a fluke wicket whoever does get him out, i'm tipping him to get 500 runs for the series, has he done that before?? If not this is chance!

Never, he has never done it before.

His series best is 493 against Australia in Australia in 08/09. He was run out for 14 in the last innings.
Well, This is surely his chance.

Coming to more records, MoYo's record can be broken in this series itself.:)

just because you guys got thrashed doesn't mean we wont be at least be able to draw one match. ;) What Greatbatch said was true, hopefully we can change our luck around.

Draw? Your batsmen could not survive against BD for 4 matches in a row...

we'll just have to wait and see. of course we wont be underestimating the Indian bowling, like australia must have done... plus the 1st test match is at a ground where there is an 50% rate of draws, and the last time NZ played there the match was a draw too.

7 years ago that too with a squad which was triple in strength that this one.

I'm not totally denying the chances of draw at ahmedabad wicket, but rest two will be dominated by India.

BD bowlers on subcontinental conditions are some of the most annoying bowlers for batsmen to face. kinda like old Sri Lankan style of bowling.

Indian bowlers on other hand will experiment enough with their line/length to make it much easier for aggressive batsmen to score.

I am highly excited to watch my first ever cricket match in stadium.
Yah!I am going to watch the 1st test at Ahemdabad.
Too excited about it.
Any suggestions, where should I go for the seat?

Doesn't matter. It will be empty so you can sit anywhere in ground if all stands are connected. Otherwise, try to take behind bowlers.
