New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

Cant see NZ even levelling the test series this time around. We are coming off the high of a series win against Australia and again we are playing at home where we are almost invincible. Hope the Ahmedabad track offers a result like the ones at Mohali and Bangalore (during the tests vs Australia)

Good to see that India are playing a full strength team, this will give us a proper indication of where we're actually at.

I reckon India will win two nil, with one draw.

Hopefully we can be competitive, and lose by less than 100 runs, or less than four wickets.

My views

Never underestimate New Zealand. No one have an idea when India team reaches the peaks of Himalaya Mountain and when it comes to bottom. Let hopes for the best. Best of Luck to new blue colors boys.

India should win 3-0, the kiwi batting has no backbone, except for Vettori tbh. Great to see India respecting us enough to play a full strenght squad... finally get to see the legendary Indian batsmen on tv after a long time. :D

I'm pretty sure this track is no good for bowlers, nothing much on offer. Should be a good run-fest.

Last time we versed them they were pretty much full strength, and they only won one nil (three matches).
The pitches over there will be flater than the ones here in NZ, plus I guess there's a bit of rain around considering the recent Aussie ODI series.
Remember India's bowling isn't magical, and we only need one of McCullum, Taylor, Ryder to get going for one day and that could take the India win away.
In six innings I'm pretty sure we will post at least one decent score, hence why I think there will be one draw.
I'm pretty sure we can't win and matches though, because we won't be able to take 20 wickets.

Rain shouldn't be a problem for the test series, seldom rains in the North of India at this time, and India are in serious form plus they are playing at home which makes it even more dangerous and likely India will probably do a clean sweep, although I rather have New Zealand draw 2 of the games.

Meh, IMO two nil seems more realistic than three nil, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's three nil.

It will not be 3-0 as first test will be draw as the pitch is hard to get even 20 wickets combined on all five days. Nagpur pitch can also be a mystery.

^ Yep, I don't see a result from Ahmedabad at all unless one of the teams has a spectacular batting collapse somewhere. That wicket is worthless and has never improved.

Hyderabad and Nagpur are both wild cards. The pitch at the old VCA stadium at Nagpur used to be one of the greener tops in India but the new VCA stadium is a mixed bag. I know nothing about the pitch in Hyderabad, but the few ODIs played there seem to have produced high scores. I'm thinking India will win it 2-0 with a draw in Ahmedabad.

Looking at the venues, I can also assure that there will be less people in the stands in all the matches of this series combined than there were in Bangalore for the second Test against the Aussies.

lol that was already posted in the Bangladesh thread.

At least he's honest and upfront about it though.

Yeah but he is supposed to be the one backing them and stuff. Gives them heaps of confidence, the coach pretty much saying they are ████

Well maybe they'll realise the coach won't stick by them any more and they'll actually have to perform?

But it would be better to be upfront about players who are under-performing rather than to endlessly back them. Besides, NZ did play like dicks against Bangladesh. No use denying that.
