New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

Flat and slow deck at a venue which should not be hosting test cricket. When will the BCCI learn. Another reason why this is so painfully boring is that the Kiwis are playing for a draw, clearly. Whereas in the Aussie series, both sides were looking to win even on Day 4 with 2 innings to go and what we got was 2 cracking tests. Unfortunately it wont happen here with the Kiwis playing for a draw right from the start and the pitch offering absolutely nothing at all. This is what happened in the previous test at this venue as well.

Cam't blame the Kiwis for doing so, a draw against India would be a big confidence booster for them especially after their shocker against Bangladesh. Although tbh apart from Sehwag and to an extent Harby, no player has been looking to get a result.

We would be extremely happy with a draw. I wouldn't say we're playing for one though. Williamson is just trying to score where he can without giving risks, while Vettori is still aggressive. He hit a straight six not too long ago.

Vettori just became the third player to score 4000 runs and take 300 wickets. The man. And notice I haven't created a new thread for this.

Draw is almost certain...If New Zealand gets a lead, Dravid can bat out the whole day :p

Finally he's gone.. Well played dude. Lets hope Indian bowlers can clean the tail up quickly this time. Then get Sehwag in for a 4 hour showdown :p

P.S:I sometimes feel bad for Dravid. Whenever he bats almost 90% of crowd wants him to get out so that they can watch Sachin. :p

Vettori out now too. I'm just waiting for Bennett and Martin to bowl. I love watching terrible batsmen try and bat.

Will Bennett be fit to bowl? Will he even be fit to bat?

I dunno. I don't think anyone really knows. Just have to wait for one of these two to get out to find out whether Martin bats at 10 for one of the only times in his career.

What? Are Taylor, Watling, Bennet and Patel batting? :p

All four of them are out there padded up.

Hopkins is out LBW, Bennett in with a runner, so i guess he's not recovered yet.

Sad that Martin is still worse with the bat than an injured Bennett :lol

Martin's turn to bat. This is going to be hilarious.

Martin and Bennett batting is the best fun we're going to have all day.

Chris Martin scores! Unbelievable. Well not really but still it's something.

It's so funny over at the CricketWeb forums. Everyone's enjoying this partnership so much.

you think people would have figured this out by now. 6 full balls at middle stump to Martin above 85 mph and he will miss one.

I guess you need a bowler who can hit 85 mph though :p

Forget Williamson's debut century. Martin could get 100 Test runs today.

Martin>MacIntosh.

Scored more and lasted longer.

A nice knock by Williamson. Two ducks in his first two ODIs and a century to start off in the tests. Well played young lad. :thumbs

These two are making a disgrace out of the Indian bowlers. 7 over partnership.
NZ to take the lead.

Haha jokes.

Good effort Chris and to some extent Kane :)
