New Zealand Tour of India, November 2010/11

If Vettori does not get admonished severely after this game then I'll be surprised. First celebrating an LBW as if the decision's been made when there was a clear inside edge. Now a sarcastic appeal to the umpire when the ball's been edged to slip. That's unnecessary.

Didn't hear about the second one - that definitely is unnecessary. But we're not the only ones who presume that a wicket has fallen when it hasn't and start celebrating.

But I do remember Vettori being pretty bad at times

Recently, we've been quite bad to be honest. But I've only really noticed excessive appealing etc from NZ in the last couple of ODI's, obviously out of frustration.

Things can't be good in the camp at the moment

Suddenly Parthiv jumps out of nowhere and shows impressive batting performances:eek:. How has his keeping been this series? Has it improved in anyway? I am not sure if we can pick Parthiv purely based on batting

Parthiv Patel has kept better then Saha. His batting is better then Saha.

So Saha is now almost eliminated from the look up of ODI Squad.

Dinesh until he does something great off late he is not coming back to the squad.

So Parthiv might just make it to the Indian Squad as a back up keeper

As a second keeper, he is better than every other option available if I'm not missing something. Karthilk can't bat, Saha is new and probably will need time to get going so Parthiv is by far the best option for a second WK.

As a second keeper who can bat and thrash the opposition, I vote for Robin Uthappa. He has kept well for RCB during the IPL and we don't really need a keeper to eat up one space.

He's not reliable, is he? He's a hit out or get out sort of batter and given I'm talking about WC, I don't think he will be a good enough selection.

^^ On basis of purely batting form from past 2 years,.. Parthiv is way ahead of Uthappa
Add to it his keeping ability has also improved. The only reason Parthiv was replaced from test side was because of his slacking keeping abilities, which he seems to have sorted out.
Parthiv should be our 2nd keeper for tests too, and able replacement if Dhoni goes terribly out of form!!

He is facing a 'B' team here. Its as good as India playing a minnow. Let PArthiv show his capabilities against RSA, then he may convince a few ppl.

and Indian defeat Newzealand 5-0 and thank god this series ended here!

Did not want to see Kiwi's get outdone again and again!!
