Talk about taking a dig.
Haha, had to lol at that picture.

The way we're playing now is good. Maybe we finally learned something? The SL spinners going at over 4/over.

Yea it's good to see the batsmen looking to actually score some runs of them.

Thats what you have to do, you can't let them scare you into playing too defensively or else you get in a rut and just get out.

Typical New Zealand batting there from Flynn, gets to 50 and then goes out.

It was only a matter of time before he got out, he just kept going back too often.

Howsie added 15 Minutes and 42 Seconds later...

:facepalm Nice shot 20/20 King :sarcasm

Oh dear. Not a good way to get out. Well i guess attacking is the way to go if poking and prodding doesnt work..

Jacob Oram better perform here or I want Grant Elliott in despite his dodgy test match record.

Probably would of helped if he had of moved his feet. He looked horrible again though, plus he was dropped on zero.

McCullum gone too. All eyes on Mr Ryder! Just had another look at Tim McIntosh's shot...whoops! Probably a bit of a silly question, but why isn't Southee playing? I've been out of the loop a bit following the Ashes and am only now re-focussing on the Black Caps.

To be honest not much can be done to help our batting right now, bringing in alot of new guys won't do a thing we will still have the same old problems. Just have to hope they will apply themselves better in the future. Will also help that no other team in the world has spinners as good as Sri Lanka right now.

Once again SL dominating all the sessions,NZ not able to play according to wicket, they do not have answers to SL's bowling...they are 173/5,almost in all inngs so far they are around 150/5,the top order have totally failed....

Is it just me or is McCallum really struggling at the moment? I remember just a few years ago he was being rated one of the best and being talked about tin the same breath as Gilchrist and the like. Don't get me wrong I still think he is an excellent wicketkeeper but he just seems to have lost some of his "superstar" potential. Not trying to open a can of worms here, just an honest observation!

Simple answer, yes. He's been struggling for awhile now.

He has all the potential in the world to be a good batsmen, but he hasn't worked hard enough to become a better player. I've almost given up hope of him ever being a good enough batsmen to average 40 for us, something I would of banked on happening when he made his debut in 2004. He doesn't have the defensive technique to survive at the test level, yes he might hit the odd 50-80 score but he's never going to preform when the pressure is on.
