New Zealand tour of Zimbabwe Oct-Nov 2011/12

The Kiwis are obviously a bit tickled by Zim. They are dishing up a lot of crap.

Well if Kiwis collapse we could be in for an interesting 4th and 5th day :)

With the scorecard reading NZ 28/2 in the 2nd innings at stumps on day 3, we're in for a fascinating day of test match cricket.ZIM bowlers have begun well by scalping 2 big wickets on dying moments of day 3.

Leading by 141, NZ will need at least 200-250 runs more to feel safe. Time for Ross Taylor to show his mettle and he'll also need good contributions from Williamson, Vettori and others.

Challenge for ZIM will be keep NZ's lead under 300. If they can do that and bat positively the way the did for couple of sessions in 1st innings, we should be in for an enthralling climax on day 5.

This is the best possible start the Zims could get by taking Patel out cheaply and not let the night watchmen build his inning. 38/3 I would love to see 2 to 3 more wickets under 100 runs and we could be in for exciting test.

There's no real mystery in Daniel Vettori's bowling, just a little old fashioned persistence, dead accuracy and some variation.

A little doggedness and concentration on Zim part will be a big help.

Put Brownlie in instead of Mills and you've got what I think would be the team

I think that will be the team as well, but I can't see Vettori/Bracewell/Southee/Martin taking 20 wickets against a quality batting line-up, we need a proper fifth bowler.

51 runs since morning session begun and 250 required in 75 overs that is 3.34 a but too higher side but if Zims dont lose a wicket we have a match on hand

The only way I thought this would be dangerous for NZ was if B Taylor fired, and he is doing that.

Come on dont JINX him :(

----------

fearsome tweak you Guptil! Martin took the wicket man!! I cannot believe this

Zim has played well to turn this seemingly one sided test into one that goes down the wire.

Insane captaincy and ordinary bowling by NZ. Taylor has really led with example and determination. Zims look so positive
