This is getting a bit out of hand for the Kiwis on home soil. What's day is it by the way? A declaration cant be all that far away give or take a few hundred runs.
Aus: 3/420 (84) Australia lead by 58 runs 7 wickets in hand
Australia is in a prime position coming into the next session. All the kiwis have managed to do is slow down the surge of runs. Australia seems to have the game pretty much won from here?
The Kiwis are making slow and steady progress against the Aussie flood. Damien Martyn was trapped in front off James Franklin?s bowling. Martyn tried to flick away a ball that swung into middle but missed it completely and was rapped on his thigh guard in front of middle stump. The Kiwis are slowly trying to come back into this game?

Michael Clarke has become the fourth half centurion of the innings to push the game further and further away from the Kiwis. Clarke and his partner Hussey have looked set at the crease for the whole time and are giving New Zealand major headaches. The declaration should be coming within the next 50-60 runs to give Australia a lead of 200+?
Aus: 4/542 (114) Australia leads by 180 runs
6 wickets in hand
3.40 PM: Day 3
Australia is still cruising and with a huge lead of 180 runs it will be almost impossible for the Kiwis to win from here. Mike Hussey scored his 50 on the ball before tea and with Clarke still scoring freely the Australian?s now only have to build on their total by another 20-50 runs. A draw however, is still very possible?
Australia has declared with a huge lead of 213. The question now is how the Kiwi batsmen will respond to the challenge. Will they attack and go for the total or defend and save a draw?
