JAQUES CONTINUES THE ANNIHILATION

Phil Jaques has reached a steady and calm fifty while his partner at the other end goes berserk. Jaques has been supporting Langer well, nipping away singles and punishing the bad ball in due course. Who knows how big the total could get with the two openers still at the crease and 5 more world class batsmen still to come?

J.Langer 79(75)*

Australia has made an incredible start to their innings and are well on track to take a big lead coming into their next bowling innings. New Zealand need early wickets desperately?

Looks like history may be repeating itself (see this match):

Australia vs New Zealand - Langer century

in this match Langer hit his 50 from 42 balls and his century from 102 balls to win australia the test match in one of his most crucial knocks for australia. he was batting at 3 in thos days though

OMG u bowled off stump thats cool neva happened to me that was a proper in swinga as it say right? good work btw

LANGER STIKES HIS CENTURY

It has taken only 111 balls for Justin Langer to reach a memorable century in front of 36,000 people. Langer has struck fours and sixes to all parts of the ground in an astounding display of batting. Australia is now set to strike at the Kiwis total and take the lead in the match?

J.Langer 104(111)*
P.Jaques 78 (111)*

CHANNEL NINE TO TAKE OVER COVERAGE

header.jpg

Channel 9 Australia has successfully taken over coverage of the match from Sky Sports. All scorecards, graphs etc will now be in channel 9 colours. The reason for the take over remains unknown. It is speculated the Sky Sports are having trouble with their coverage, with frequent blank screens during the match.

JAQUES FOLLOWS IN LANGER?S FOOTSTEPS

Australia have now racked together a double hundred opening partnership to tighten the screws on the Kiwis. Phil Jaques has just broken through to score his maiden International century, not a bad effort for a man who has played only a handful of games. Australia is now cruising and looks in no danger of loosing wickets anytime soon?

WICKET FINALLY FALLS

Australia have finally lost their first wicket with 292 runs already on the board. Phil Jaques clipped one off his pads and made the first easily, but was caught out of his ground after trying to make the second. Jaques finished on 140 after an amazing display of power hitting in one over. Australia now in an almost indestructible position even with the loss of Jaques?

Franklin?s over to Jaques

48.1 Franklin to Jaques, SIX!!! Ball outside off, Jaques gets into position and hammers it over cover into the crowd
48.2 Franklin to Jaques, FOUR!!! Another one outside off, Jaques cover drives it beautifully to the fence
48.3 Franklin to Jaques, SIX!!! Full on the stumps, Jaques charges down and lofts it over mid wicket
48.4 Franklin to Jaques, SIX!!! Jaques is on fire! Full outside off again, Jaques waits for it then strikes the ball over the point fence
48.5 Franklin to Jaques, FOUR!!! Franklin strays onto the pads; Jaques works it away through mid wicket to the boundary
48.6 Franklin to Jaques FOUR!!! Ball pitches just outside off; Jaques uses his feet to get to the ball and lofts it over the cover infield, one bounce to the fence

I like what you've done with the spider graph. Am I right in thinking that the pitch is from Blic? Outfield and stumps look remarkably familiar, as well as different to the ones in your current match.

Anyway, good story mate, great read, hope your enjoying writing it as much as I am reading it.
