HALFTIME MATCH REPORT
Both sides played great football.Lots of chances were created,but Patrick Kluivert just failed to deliver.The new signings were terrific.Esposito was showing Duff how to dribble while Van Der Vaart was creating chances for Shearer and Kluivert.A Carvalho header from a corner gave Chelsea the lead,in the 37th minute.
HALF TIME ANALYSIS
Dykes:Well folks,that was an enthralling first half.Both sides played great football,and only a Carvalho header seperates the 2 sides.Half Time analysis,coming up.

Dykes : Well Jamie,these 2 sides played beautiful,flowing football.The chances just kept coming.
Reeves: Yes from an attacking point of view,both sides were great.But defensively,they were both poor.Steven Taylor was being bullied by Drogba while Kezman was going past Carr with ease.On the other end of the park,Esposito was dribbling past Chelsea players as if they were school boys.He was just brilliant.Van Der Vaart and Mascherano were playing beautiful long balls to Shearer and Kluivert.Kluivert was very disappointing.He should've scored.Lampard and Makelele were very good.Both of them have such good understanding between themselves.I felt that Newcastle didn't deserve to go behind.They played excellent football.I predict a Newcastle comeback.1-1 Draw might be the end result.

Bolton 3-0 Palace(Nolan 7,Okocha 32,Diouf 42)
Reeves:Some interesting matches there.Palace haven't got off to the start they would've hoped for.Bolton were very very good.Just too much class for Palace.And Birmingham have just edged out Spurs in a tightly contested match.The Second Half should be very interesting.
