Tony Greig: Hello and Welcome to Phillip the Preview Show... We are at the MCG for the start of 1st 3 mobile Test Series between Australia and New Zealand...Everyone in Australia and New Zealand are waiting for the start of this series after a great dramatic end to the Chppell Hadlee Series in Sydney...With me in the Studio i have two former great batsmen of Australia and New Zealand...Ian Chappell and Martin Crowe...What do u guys think about the Series...and Who do u think are the players to watch for???
Ian Chappell : Its gonna be a hard fighting series between the neighboring rivals...Australia will be rearing to go at the New Zealand after what happened in the ODI Series...while new Zealand would want to continue their good form in the Test Series..But it would not be easy to defeat Australia in its own backyard...Australia will be disappointed the way they lost the Series but they will come strong...I think Ricky Ponting will big role to play in the Series ...he has to lead as an example and a captain...Brett Lee would be wanting to continue his great run too..For New Zealand i think it would be the former captain Stephen Fleming will have to bat well at the top to ensure New Zealand lot of runs...And yes man in form Jacob Oram..he had a great ODI series but he must be knowing that Test cricket and ODI cricket are two different forms of the game...and so he should play according to the scenario..
Martin Crowe : I completely agree with Ian..Australia will come back strongly and even I agree that it would be difficult to beat the Aussies in Australia...If we look at the squads...New Zealand have a fair good of bowling and batting..Stephen Fleming will have a major part to play if they want to get a win over here...Vettori should also play well and ball well..Fulton who is coming back from injury will be strengthening the middle order along with Styris , Taylor and Oram...So i think the squad is evenly balance...Going over to the Australian Squad...All 7 batsmen would be the key.... New Zealand should get rid of Hayden very quickly..In the past he has showed that how dangerous he is....Just one weak spot i can see is the lack of a regular spinner...I don't think Bracken would play as he is not fully fit which means Cameron White will make his debut so Kiwis should attack him....
