Queensland Bulls had to chase 160 in abt 120 balls...it was never going to be easy with the pace attack of New Zealand..But Watson and Hayden had some other ideas...They came out on a positive note and went after both Bond and Gillespie who shared the new ball...Watson and Hayden made and 77 run opening partnership..

At one pt it looked as if they both were going to finish it within 15 overs ..But the captain brought on himself and Franklin who did the damage ...Watson was run out by a brilliant throw by Vincent form covers , while Hayden fell to Franklin..New Zealand were back into the match...Maher was the next to go scoring 16 in 9 balls ...He was taken in the deep by Gilliespie on balling of Vettori...Then came the danger man Symonds....along side Hopes...Hopes went out cheaply to Vettori...Now New Zealand back into the match...
But soon Symonds started playing his natural game...

Symonds best shot-late cut against Vettori..​

Oram and Styris were brought into the attack...Queensland need 45 runs in 4 overs...New Zealand had the upper hand in the game...New Zealand went more closer to the win went Oram and Styris took 2 wickets each...

Styris Strikes twice​

New Zealand were just a step away from victory...but there was still symonds on the crease...Queensland needed 25 of 2 overs with Symonds on the strike..And he did what he does best....he scored 12 runs of the over with 3 glorious fours...13 of the last over and Kasprowicz on strike to face Styris...Styris balls a half volley and Kasprowicz smashes it out of the ground...the next ball a very wide one and Kasprowicz goes after it gets an thick edge and goes for four...Fans celebrating ....3 runs from 3 balls...Styris balls it on the foot but played well for a couple....2 balls 1 run needed..Styris balls another loosner and Kasprowicz just touches and guides it towards the Long on and take a single to win the match for Queensland....
New Zeland will be feeling like a win snatched from them......

Presentation Ceremony(with Mark Taylor)​

MT:Good evening ladies and gentlemen...what an entertaining match we were able to see...surely the Queensland fans wud have enjoyed a great revival.We were able to see a gr8 partnership at the start between Watson and Hayden and then some good balling by the kiwis and then lots of firework from Symonds and Kasprowicz...First of all I wud like to invite Daniel Vettori to hav chat...

Daniel it was a really hard fought match..what went wrong at the end???

DV:We started the game poorly by losing Papps early...but there was a good partnership between Vincent and Taylor...But ten we lost a couple of important wickets ...But still then we were able to reach 159 which was a defendable total...The Partnership between Watson and Hayden was really crucial ..they just took the match away from us...but we bowled superbly and were right back in the match when they were 126/6 , but Symonds played a brilliant knock to snatch the match away from us...

MT:Next is Australia and the then the big ODI series what are ur thoughts on it???

DV:We have to play really well to beat Aussies and we wil try our very best....

MT:Good luck for the matches to come...

Now may i invite the star of the day ...He was selected by the commentator and the match referee..he bowled superbly and guided his team to victory by scoring 36 runs ...Andrew Symonds....

Congratulations Andrew..wonderful all round performance and a match winning one to..

AS:Yes it was not a big target to chase but it was also defendable..we had a good start but the we lost wickets at regular intervals and then me and kasprowicz won the match for our teams...

MT:No singles in that innings all fours....and what gr8 form u r in after the ICC T20 world cup...

AS:Ya, only four were the ones which were going to do the job at that stage ....after the T20 world cup i have improved a lot on my batting ....playing against India improved me a lot and i hope i keep on batting the same way in all formats of the game.....

Was it a hard fought win or not????

Jm:Yes it was ....we bowled superbly well but were unable to restrict them below 150..But a good partnership at the start really made the way for the win...but we lost lots of wickets cheaply...We thought we had lost the match but Symonds and Ksprowicz played really calmliy under the pressuer and won the match for us..

Mt:Congrats on the win and good luck for the Pura Cup and KFC T20 matches...

Victory snatched away from the Kiwis but it was really an exciting match. T20 match will be interesting to watch. Your presentation is very good and nice work with the scorecards but you will have to check for the spelling mistakes. Nice work mate waiting for the T20 match

MT:This pitch is very dry one....it wud be really good for the batsmen and we wud be seeing a huge total...My verdict win the toss and bat first and score 180-200 runs....

News out from the centre is Australia have won the toss and decide to bat first

Two Teams:

Shane Bond starts with the new ball to Gilchrist..he takes a single and giv strike to Hussey ...Hussey goes after him and gets his 1st six of the match...Bond strikes with a short ball Hussey going after it but get caught in the deep....

Brad Hodge comes in...Franklin starts and gets the wicket of Gilchrist on 2 ...Gilchrist caught by Bond ...2 balls New Zealand get a big wicket of Symonds who goes after the ball and is caught at long off by Bond...Australia 16/3 and in big trouble....

Clarke and Hodge stabilize the innings by going after the bowlers.....

Spinners brought into the attack ...Hodge goes after Patel by scoring 19 runs of the over...Clarke and Hodge raises the 50 run partnership...the needed partnership for Australia....

Vettori strikes thrice getting wicket of Hodge the big one , Voges and Brett Lee....
Hodge goes for a respectable 32....
Austrlia in trouble again with 90/6

Johnson and Clarke again trying to bring Australia into the match ..New Zealand have the ball in their court ...but Aussies have a health run rate abt 10rpo...At the end of 10 overs Aussie 111/6...

Styris continues and gets the main wicket of Johnson....goes to hook a short one but is caught by Vettori at square leg...Australia stumble as they lose Clarke to Patel caught by Styris ...A great and entertaining innings comes to and end...the crowd stands up to congratulate him....Aussie in big trouble ....

Bond into the attack against Bracken....Bracken hammers him to all parts of the ground.....scoring abt 17 runs in that over.....Vettori into his last over and gets rid of Clark.....Vettori gets 4 wickets.....Bond into his final over and gets Tait out for 0 and Bond gets his 2nd wicket of the match....Bracken remains unbeaten on 32...
