New Zealand come out to bat with a lot of things to prove to the fans .......Lou vincent and Michael Papps open the batting.....A good start from Vincent and Papps....just when the partnership was building up Lee strikes and get rids of Papps.....

Then came in Ross Taylor....he also went after the two fast bowlers Lee and Tait.....Again a partnership was building up...but there was poor understanding between the 2 batsmen which lead to the run out of in form Lou Vincent.....soon after that Ross Taylor departed....Aussie celebrating double brakthrough....NZ 75/3.....

After the departure of Ross Taylor...no one looked thratening...Wickets of Styris , Fulton felt very quickly .....NZ were in deep trouble...as Jacob Oram walked in....88/5

Bowling change by Clarke which resulted into more destruction of NZ....soon Styris was run out and Vettori and Franklin went after Bracken for poor rsults.....Aussies having the upper hand as Bracken striked thrice...NZ in deep trouble...101/8........

But there was still Jacob Oram at the crease...he made his presence felt with some brilliant shots down the ground......Jacob Oram 's scored 21 runs of Bracken's over and...the match was slpping away form the Australians....A great 43 partnership was formed between Oram and Bond...
Oram reached his 50 with a six...in style......Soon Bond felt to Johnson ...A great yorker to get rid of Bond...Patel thelst man came...Aussie thought they still have the match...NZ needed 8 runs in 6 overs with 1 wicket remaining...Patel facoing Johnson..a calm shot down the ground for a single and Oram was back on strike....Oram finished the match with a great boundary....and NZ has won a thriller....

New Zealand win by 1 wicket.........

MT:What an entertaining match we had...it was a thriller...First Aussies scoring 151 and the new Zealand chasing it ...This match had all things in 40 overs...19 wickets , 304 runs and some superb strokes and of course a lot of entertainment....
Ok i wud like to invite the losing captain Michael Clarke....

Michael luck didnt fvour ur team at all...

MC:Yes , we were very unlike ...first we were unable to score many with the bat and then are bowlers performed superb and took 9 wickets...we had the situation in our hands but we could not capitalize on it....But after all it was really tense and entertaining..

MT:How do u feel captaining Australia??

MC:I am loving the captaincy...it will also help me improve my batting....i am looking forward to captain aussies in the test and one day also....But any ways Punter is a better captain than me...

Daniel congrats and was it a good all round performance by the team..You were able to restrict them at 151 and then Oram with some gr8 cricket...

DV:Yes , we bowled quite superbly..all the bowler supported me very well...the pitch had a lot for the spinners and i think that wwas the think that won the match for us...and Oram has done this in the past...and it is good winning again...

JO:Thank You..the pitch really supriesd me a lot...The pitch was good for batting at the start but it didnt change at all...the ball was coming well on the bat and just played my natural game...Bracken was bowling perfectly well and he was the danger man for me so i decided to just take singles against him...

Fulton Injured​

Peter Fulton , a solid middle order batsmen of New Zealand is ruled out for the Chappel Hadlee Series against Australia he is also doubtful for the 3 mobile test series...Fulton fractured his leg while playing football during the training session..He is advice abt 2 weeks of complete rest...Bradley Scott the all rounder is called as a replacement for Fulton...Shane Bond is also suffering from a minor back pain but he will be playing the 1st ODI...
