After 10 overs Aussies were 99/3 ....Hayden and Hodge were there at the crease....Hayden looked very dangerous while on the other end Hodge had just arrived...Hayden was playing as if he was playing T20 cricket...He hit Gillespie for another six and raised a deserved 50...Hodge and Hayden were building a partnership....it was certainly looking like they were going to guide Australia for a victory...They both put on a partnership 75 runs between them....

Franklin , Bond were Gillespie were bowling some good length balls...but without much result..But the result came...Hodge was bowled by Franklin ....NZ were back in the match....and now it was their time to dominate ....Next one to go was Symonds...poor running between the wickets by Hayden lead to Symonds' run out...the danger man was back for only 6 runs.....NZ were now able to find silver lining....Vettori bought himself into the attack...and what a bowling change...he got rid of Hayden in his 3rd ball...very poor shot to play...A great inning came to an end...Soon after Clarke was bowled by and great yorker from Franklin...Australia in all sort of trouble....Aus 195/7...

Hogg and Lee tried to steady the run rate by at least taking singles...Styris was introduced into the attack...and again what an bowling change...the captaincy by Vettori has been excellent...Styris struck Hogg the 1st ball ...Hogg trying to go after Styris was caught by Scott...5 balls later Johnson departed...Edging a ball to the keeper....The last man to go was Bracken...he was run out again due to poor running between the wickets...NZ players celebrated in joy....

Australia 213 all out....

A great victory by the Kiwis there. The New Zealanders bowled quite well but I think that the Australians would have won if they had the wickets in hand. Superb works SR. I am loving this story mate.

Presentation Ceremony with Mark Taylor...​

MT:Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the the presentation ceremony of the first ODI between Australia and New Zealand..We had a great game to watch.New Zealand out played Australia in all the fields and were the desereved winners...
I wud like call the losing captain Ricky Ponting...

Ricky it was just one of the bad day ur team had..

RP:Yes Mark , we started the bowling well , New Zealand were 90/4 and we had the control over the game..But the partnership between Oram and McCullum was the turning point of the game...and Oram continued his innings from where he had left in the T20 international..We too had the good start...We always had the required run rate in our hands..Hayden played a great innings but again they managed to get some quick 4 wickets and there we lost the game...They really outplayed us in all the feilds..I wud like to congratulate Daniel and his team..

MT:What lessons will u be taking for the next game...???

RP:We wud like to improve our bowling and also target of taking Oram outquickly because he is the real danger man...And in batting we wud like to create a more partnerships....

DV it was great game..we really played our best cricket so far after the T20 world cup..we had a plan in our mind and we executed it well.we knew this pitch wud be good for batting and thats wat our batsmen did..we exploited the pitch and the bowling on the pitch in the 1st 20 overs was very hard but after that in became slow and then it suited the slow bowlers..

MT:Yo dont get to see often Austrlia losing by over a 100 runs , its like and achievement is it??

DV:Yes its really rare now a days to see Australia lose by more than 100 runs..We really played well .We batted well , bowled well and our fielding was superb..All credits goes to the boys..It an example of team work and spirit.

Jacob you were just brilliant again.You just batted superbly..

JO:Yes and thank You...the pitch was very good for batting and ball was coming nicely on the bat..The partnership between McCullum and me was very important and i am happy that the team has won and against Australia...

MT:How do u feel being the Man of the Match for the 2 consecutive times..

JO:I am very happy to be the Man of the Match for the 2times in the row but the main thing that matters is that my team have won ....and I am proud to contribute to the win..

ICC cheif Malcom Speed has declared there would be freindly match between ICC World XI and Australia Cricket.This would be T20 match taking place at Melbourne Cricket Ground , Australia.The funds raised by the match would be donated to the flood victims of Bangladesh.Bangladesh was struck by a major flood this october and more than thousand people were left homeless. This match would be Flood Relief Match.The funds will be donated by ICC partners United Nations and UNICEF to all victims..There wud also be 3 Bangladesh Players in squad of ICC World XI out of 2 will be playing..

DV:I am very eager and excited to play and especially under MS Dhoni...He is a very good captain...It will be a exciting match as it will be against Australia with Warne and McGrath in their side....This match is played for a good cause and would surely stay upto its expectations....

Press:You have got the lead in the ongoing ODI series and how do u feel now???

DV:Its always great to win against Australia at Australia and its a very good feeling in the team and the win has raised our morale after a poor display against South Africa...

DV:Jacob has been in terrific form of late...he has played when the team needed a great innings from him...and I hope he does play like that so that we win more matches....
