Nidahas Trophy 2018 - India and Bangladesh in Sri Lanka T20I Tri-Series

Unbelievable !!!!!!
Bangladesh won this match.
Rahim, Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal had played well.
This is the fifth highest target chased in T20I.

Excellent from Bangladesh. It is exciting to see them not fold up when facing a huge target and see them fight to the end. That was a special innings by Mushfiqur, while he was struggling with cramps he coolly took them over the line. Congrats Bangladesh for winning a thriller :)

Freak of a catch from Raina !

And Rahul is back. Hopefully he will use this opportunity.

Fantastic work from Washington Sundar! 2-21 from 4 overs is brilliant when Kusal Mendis and Sri Lanka have been in the red hot zone.

Sri Lanka are disintegrating here.

Wonder why Pant was dropped? I understand that Rahul needed a game but you also put Pant on the edge by dropping him after just one failure.

Pant is the future while Karthik is a stop gap measure. Pant should be played more in T20's and a failure here and there should not be held against him in a format where luck plays a big part.

Very much impressed by both Vijay Shankar and Washington Sundar as bowlers they both have been doing quite in the domestic circuits in the last 2 years or so the latter even had a very good run in the IPL impressing one and all.
Shardul Thakur has bowled really in the limited chances he has got and the way he made the comeback after being bashed for 27 in one over by Kushal Perrera in the 1st match sums up his temperament as bowler which is an encouraging sign for Indian cricket.

I agree Pant needs more games but Karthik hasn't done anything either to be dropped. He has played well whenever he has got chance and Pant has failed everytime. This is how it is right now in Indian cricket. There are so many good batsmen and every opportunity you get, you should utilize it.[DOUBLEPOST=1520871893][/DOUBLEPOST]

I was surprised with Vijay Shankar's bowling. Even though he went for 3 big shots, he has bowled really well. Haven't seen his batting but his bowling looked impressive. And Sundar was amazing.

Thakur going baam baam!

There is something I don't understand. What is special about Unadkat???

Every game I have seen of his (from back when he was at KKR) he has been an average bowler. His domestic record is ordinary and often I have seen him picked by the batsmen as a 30-40 runs option in T20's. His pace isn't exceptional. Why does he have such a large price tag?

All these games so far he has gone for 10 or more. And that is the likes of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, what happens when proper batsmen go against him - especially on flat tracks.

See his IPL 2017 performance and talk. His slower balls are just immaculate.

Another failure for Rohit Sharma! :( :facepalm

He reinvented himself as a good 'variations' bowler in IPL 2017 with Rising Pune Supergiants. That's what led to the high price tag for him in the recent IPL auction and his price tag in the auction in a way helped his return to Indian team. He is a left armer at a time when left armers are dying in Indian cricket. And his slower balls can be very helpful when batsmen are looking to slog.

A few years ago or rather before the 2017 IPL season, he was pretty poor, but he has bounced back. His 2017 IPL season was amazing. He worked on his pace, and his variations make him a much better bowler in the limited formats of the game. He has improved his game certainly. And most importantly, he's a left arm seam bowler, which is so rare in India, and adds variety in the bowling attack. You had a fair point but that was probably him a few years back, where he struggled. Keep in mind that T20 is a format that you can go for 40+ runs or you can concede just 20 or below that.

Hit wicket ? No ! That's disappointing.
