Nov 25-29: 1st Test: Australia v England at Brisbane

My god, that Johnson ball was terrible. Definitely the worst I have seen since Harmy's one.

I think it goes to show how fickle the Aussie "supporters" are. Should be lots of spare tickets for the SCG though. Lucky me!!!
Not really, the first 3 days were all just about sold out.

If I'm not mistaken it's pretty similar for the early days of most of the other tests and 5th days are traditionally poorly attended

It's sad to think that in a 100+ overs innings, we've only taken one wicket and it was taken by a part-timer :facepalm

This is starting to frustrate me so much that I'm contemplating watching my Muse HAARP DVD :rolleyes

Even worse is it's a wicket that North didn't really earn. Not the way Strauss would have got out if he hadn't been at the crease for so long. Stumpings when players are over 100 aren't uncommon and usually aren't the result of good bowling

He can do that all he wants, but if they don't execute what can he do other than shuffle to someone else who doesn't look like getting a wicket. A lot down to the wicket the way I see it, but still.

A test and first class bowler should be able to control his line and length. The bowlers we have have done that in the past and should be able to do it here.

Think a word was said during that drinks session. Definitely more freedom in the strokeplay now.

We might have a reverse of Amazing Adelaide.

Now, I'm starting to get real negative.

So you reckon that if Australia were most likely going to get a win today the Gabba would still be so poorly attended ?? I think not, but to be fair Cricket Australia have probably got themselves to blame for failing attendances due to over the top rules, the fun police and the sale of pish weak VB!!

Ah, sharp spin for Doherty!

It would good to get Aus in before the final session. Swann could cause some damage if the seamers can get early wickets. It could get interesting yet!

I think the crowd would be better if there was going to be any kind of result at all.

At the same time I perfectly understand not wanting to sit out in glaring sun all day to watch a game that will almost certainly end in a draw.

Not to mention of course it is a Monday and the vast majority of people aren't on Christmas holidays as yet

Strauss will definately declare, there's a bit more intent out there now, we could be almost 300 ahead by lunch if it all goes our way. Put on another 50 after lunch and put the Aussies in. Open with Anderson and Swann and see what happens....
