I will go up for the derby at home hopefully and of course when they come down here to canberra my campus is near the raiders training facility so I get to scream abuse at Todd Carney

I actually have no idea.... We pretty much get no rugby coverage here since its a very unpopular sport here.

No its just a marketing ploy from the AFL... they buy up the timeslots and dont allow their competition proper air time. You cant seriously believe a washed up program during Sunday afternoon would out rate Rugby League

For most of Australia, yes

And its actualy not controled by the AFL. The free to air networks would actually literally get no ratings at all if they aired a rugby game. Especially if it was competing with a AFL game.

So your saying a 70s movie which didnt make the big screen would outrate rugby league... i dont think so. Australia is a sporting country, anything competitive they will watch. I hate AFL but would rather watch it than any daytime movie you can find.
