NZ tour of India 2024 - 3 Tests

Anyhow, it is still a worthless game- the WTC Final. Better SA than SL...
I disagree, seeing another team outside the big 3 in the final would be a strong reminder that Test cricket can still be competitive outside these 3 teams — that it has the potential to thrive even when everyone predicts its demise. More of a symbolic importance

As aforementioned, the WTC Final has lost its sheen somewhat. To be fair, it has not really given Test cricket the kind of boost it deserves. Ideally, the winner should be crowned every 2/4 years based on the entire Test cycle.

Sri Lanka making it to the WTC final might be symbolic-but it isnt likely to achieve anything substantial for the game overall.

Peach from Southee.

And good to Washington Sundar back in the squad with a 7 fer.

No access to water for spectators on a hot and humid day in Pune led to chaos and complaints of sickness among the fans

"Richest" cricket board's infrastructure for you. One of the reason I hate matches that are held in India. Absolutely no respect for fans who spend their hard earned money.

Went to Edgbaston on the hottest day of the year and one of the best things was the free water taps they had dotted around the ground.

Pune's stadium needs to have these basic facilities. While the stadium is good, lack of water and the regular parking chaos needs to be sorted out asap. This has been prevalent since the time they called it after the Sahara honcho.

The make do stadiums here in US had that as well. The one in North Carolina was such a beautiful stadium that not only had that but also was completely disabled friendly, something India I bet does not even consider right now.

Its the basic amenities.. fans are not asking for free food or free drinks, basic water? But what do we all know. Infrastructure is solid in India, 10-15 will die and a billion others will move on!

New Zealand on the way to a historic series win.

India finally getting a taste of their own medicines or the grave they dig for others for so long are finally falling into it.

They were occasional loses on such tracks before but the series win hided everything.

With the transition phase going around this series loss should pave way for my new strategy and gameplay going into the next home season with new playere coming in.

Rohit and Kohli seem out of it entirely. No application, nothing at all. Guess they retired from the wrong format.

Regardless of the result, seems likely that 2 of our stalwarts from the previous BGT will be making a comeback- Pujara and Rahane.

In all honesty, our batting wasn't exceptional. It was just 1-2 individual brilliant innings that helped us along the way. Ever since Vikram Rathour took over, the batting had been in doldrums. We have been saved majorly by Pujara, Rahane and the lower order. (Ahswin, Shardul, etc)

I don't think India will be able to win this one now. Historic series win for NZ incoming. They thoroughly deserved it too.

I've said it in the past too. The last Australia and England series also were too close to comfort even if the scoreline doesn't say so. We just got lucky in those important moments of the game. I think India's dominance at home will continue to weaken given that our spin playing ability has gone down drastically.

Best time for teams to tour India.

38! Falls 12 runs short. Seemingly enough for him to book the trip to Australia.

Reminds me of the 2004 BGT- A wicket keeper captain led his team to a 2-1 victory over India.

The Indian captain missed the 3rd Test(likely to happen here as well). Expect a poor pitch in Mumbai. A worse than rank turner.
