We always suck against spin and too dependent on Watson so no surprises we got thrashed. That middle order as expected was a serious problem. Dussey should come in for White.

Did someone actually allude that Australia didnt want to go for a win?
As I said before, is anyone so dishonest as to suggest otherwise? And there was no alluding involved, or at least I didn't intend to be that ambiguous...:p

Considering Pakistan rolled us for <90 a couple of weeks ago, the cautious start from Warner and Watson was to be expected. Once they fell, it was game over and attempting to score at 10 an over from there to win is probably why everyone else is sitting back home while we're in the finals once again :cheers

So if SA lost what would have happened? Pakistan, India, SA and Australia were group winners weren't they?

Nothing, winning the preliminary group meant absolutely nothing in this tournament. All the teams were pre-seeded, meaning if you qualified for the Super Eights(finishing #1 and #2 in the preliminary groups) your group was already chosen for you. :facepalm

Seriously, fearsome tweak the idiot that came up with this format.
