Online Quitting - Please Read

If someone is placing all their fielders on offside and less than 2 on leg side, then i will not play with that player as they are not playing in the spirit of the game. i dont know why people like this bother playing as they only play to win. what happend to having fun. i mean tell me seriously, who will remember what stats you had in this game, or any other game. after a year when new game will come you wont even remeber yourself what stats you had. if your states are not honest then how could you justify yourself. i mean no one else cares about your stats are and the only person who does (you) knows that you cheated. Soooo whats the point.

Ahem ahem , if you find these inspirited players such a bore, then you have every right to quit , because people who play to win & try these tactics deserve that they be robbed of a win. Who knows after playing with such players you may figure out a way to take em down yourself.

I hate it when people bowl , the same bowl again and again or they pack the ol' Off side field. Its not that i dont play against them , i play them & i even come out on top , but yes i make it a point not to pay them again. In case i am batting first , i make it a point to pay them back in the same coin. Its just that , I do it better then they do.

With the packed offside field I find it quite effective to step to leg and then cut through backwards point/ third man region. I've yet to be caught down there and even mistimed shots get 1 or 2.

^ if your going to use this strategy then prepare to whip the ball to fine leg incase the bowler moves into the stumps at the last second, otherwise its usually timber

If they move the cursor you've got the whole onside field with not a fielder in site. I do get bowled behind my legs sometimes but not often. To be honest online is pretty different with the beta patches anyway due to the change in lengths.

Lol did I miss a meeting? There is a beta patch for online? is it available to the public or is there some secret testing I am not aware off?

The beta patch being discussed in just about every thread going (!) is currently being tested by selected people on PC and obviously any changes to offline also change online.

There are many of us who try to play it as real as we can. If you play against a good player you wont get more than 150 runs in 20 overs. No matter how silly and ridiculous cricket shots you play. There are ways to bowl without cheating and using cheap tricks.

I agree a 100%. If one plays agaisnt good players, you don't get to score a lot of runs and if you can bowl well, you wont get hit for too many. I've been hit or 70 in 5 overs max (only once, avg score around 35), in 10 overs the max that has been hit against me is 124 (not played many of these) and in 20/20 I've only once been hit for 200 (209). Avg score in 20/20 against me is under 100. I don't use a packed offside field, nor do i bowl continously in the block hole or use a lot of bouncers nor move the cursor around wildly (note: i DO move the cursor, just not wildly). Fair bowling an restrict batsmen!

Perhaps reading the first post might help. I have no problem with people naming people who quit on them, I have an issue with the name calling and abuse that the other threads were descending into.

To repeat, you can post the names of people who quit on you, you can even keep an updated list in each post you make of the people who have quit on you, but when you post that, post a screenshot if possible and at the very least detail the match solution.

If someone calls you a quitter, the only thing I want to see is a response to that person who did so that is calm and describes their reason for quitting. From then it is up to individual people whether they believe them or not.

The back and forth flaming over whether someone is a quitter or not is unnecessary, and gets us nowhere. And if you want to abuse quitters, you have to do it elsewhere.

The other threads will not be reopened, and creating new ones will see you with an ignoring moderator instructions infraction.

I'm sorry but does that mean I can keep a large list of all the alleged quitters in this thread?

shan111 has refer me as quitter but most of peoples here say i am not a quitter then why you peoples keep my ID still on quitter list? i feel shy about that,,i want to know the solution exactly, everyone has to care about what i really want, who updated my ID as quitter list that person must be responsible for that...how long i have to wait?

If you refer to the list in the other thread (the one now closed, can be found as boney_g's sig i guess), I'm the one who made it. What I try and do is that whoever names someone, I do add them to the list, if they give a clarification, I write in brackets 'mixed reviews', if another PC member vouches for you, usually I take the name out. If multiple people say that you're a qutter while some state you're not, the name states but with 'mixed reviews' in brackets. Note that most players do play against those with mixed reviews. If you're name is still on the list, nothing can be done about it since the thread is now closed! I'm sorry if you're name was wrongly added.
