Pakistan crush Aussies
(Win by a huge margin)

Hussey was scoring more than a run a ball and was proving to be a minor threat for Pakistan. There was little batting to come with Lee, Johnson and Bracken in next.

Hussey continued to rotate the strike whilst at the other end, Hopes was doing a rearguard action by blocking and putting the bad balls away. Captain Misbah brought on Medium-Pacer Abdul Razzaq on as Gul required a rest after his fantastic 7 overs. Razzaq started his third over. He was getting the ball to zip off the pitch but Hussey was making it seem very easy. However, it must have been over-confidence which caused it but Razzaq won the battle with Hussey as he was confident enough to go towards the leg-side and leave his stumps.

This ball in particular was a straight one which could have defended easily but Hussey's arrogance cost him his own wicket. He walked to the Pavilion for a brisk 34 as the few Australian fans started to leave the stadium. This brought Brett Lee to the crease. He has been known as a slogger but can bat in the required situation. Unfortunately he did not last long. Misbah ran from Square Leg and explained the tactic was to bowl Short at Lee. Razzaq took that in mind. He ran up and banged in a short delivery. Lee attempted to cut it but he got an inside edge. The ball was rolling very slowly onto the stumps. Lee searched where the ball was looking frantically left and right. He just saw the ball as it it hit the stumps and knocked off the bails. This just sums up Australia's day.

T.Greig: Inside edge....oh.....thats gone. Lee's gone first ball. Abdul Razzaq has struck once again for Pakistan and that puts him on a Hat-Trick. Well, that just about sums up the Australians' day. So Lee goes for a duck as Australia are 98/8.

Mitchell Johnson arrived and faced the Hat-Trick ball. Unfortunately for Razzaq it was just a little wide of the stumps. Knowing the match was going to end soon, Hopes and Johnson started lashing out at the Pakistan bowlers, Hopes in particular. Razzaq had figures of 4-0-10-2 before he started his 5th over. Hopes smashed Razzaq for two consecutive cover drives. as he raced onto Twenty. Afridi was brought on to end this stubborn resistance. Hopes and Johnson were enjoying themselves in the middle as the Partnership raced to 27.

Afridi started his second over. He finally ended Hopes' cameo. Hopes attempted to sweep Afridi's quicker ball. Afridi was just too quick for Hopes as he knocked his Middle-Stump over.

Nathan Bracken the last of the Australian batsmen arrived at the crease. Not renowned for his batting, he didn't last long as he got cleaned by Afridi which meant Afridi was on a Hat-Trick in the next match. The players shook hands as the crowd roared in excitement. Misbah was all smiles as he was laughing and joking with Malik and Akhtar.

The Australians had been outplayed as they walked off the Sharjah stadium with their heads down.

T.Greig: Well thats the game. Pakistan have won by a huge margin of 174 runs. A fantastic bowling effort by Pakistan. Misbah-ul-Haq has done a fantastic job today.

S.Manjrekar: Hello and welcome to The Twelth Man where we will be analyzing today's match. With me in the studio is Ian Chappell and Dean Jones. Firstly, on to the Australian batting. What happened Deano?
D.Jones: Well it was a mix of poor shot selection and some fine bowling. We saw Marsh, Hussey going so well but I don't know why they decided to become to arrogant and leave their stumps.
S.Manjrekar: And what about the bowling Ian?
I.Chappell: Well it was a fantastic effort by all of the bowlers especially Tanvir and Gul. They bowled at a good length and deceived the batsmen many times.
S.Manjrekar: Alright lets have a look at the scorecards.

S.Manjrekar: Well there were plenty of starts. Marsh 20, Ponting 19, Hussey 34 but nobody really looked settled in.
I.Chappell: Well except Michael Hussey everyone just didn't look themselves. The Australians will be looking for Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds back into their team as soon as possible.
D.Jones: I feel that Pakistan really utilized the conditions well and Misbah really used his bowling options well.

S.Manjrekar: Speaking of Misbah, he is a real candidate for the Man Of The Match Award. He made batting against the Australians seem so easy.

D.Jones: Once again he dug Pakistan out of a hole and got them up to 300 where at one stage it looked as though Pakistan would be struggling to get 210 but he fought well with Afridi who he shared a 106 run stand with.
S.Manjrekar: Looking forward to the Australians next encounter with New Zealand, what changes do they have to make?
I.Chappell: Well I think Andrew Symonds should definatly come in to the squad depending on the state of his injury. Also they must work on their batting technique. I think if they can focus on those points, they can come back to winning ways.

S.Manjrekar: Gentleman thank you very much for your time today. Now its time for you viewers at home to get involved in this Sharjah Cup. Just guess: Who is today's Man Of The Match? The winner will get a reward of 10,000 vCash. We will take a quick break and when we come back we will have the Presentation Ceremony ready. Stay Tuned.
