Ramiz Raja had a point too, if Pakistan had tampered with the ball to make it reverse then they would have had two seamers on, reverse swing wouldn't have helped Danish Kaneria.

Well, if Pakistan wanted to tamper with the ball, they'd have tried to do it out of sight of the TV cameras. Not saying they did it, infact I think Usy has made a good point that they were well on top anyway, Asif has been bowling well enough to not need to tamper with the ball to create reverse swing.

Anyways we were in the winning position, why would we tamper with the ball?! Darrel Hair is just making this one up! i mean he always has been against Pakistan.. I dont think sorry with a formal letter would work, this guy should be suspended! Crap Umpiring.

and don't forget we are known for reverse swing, Wasim Waqar, we did it in first innings if you remember, and it was a pakistani bowler who started reverse swing, so without a proof I won't say anything, remembe KP hit 2 sixes, what if something hapinned to ball then (i'm not saying KP has done anything).

Just face it Farrukh the Pakistani's are cheats, we know that they have done it before and have obviously done something this time. They have cheated themselves as they were in a wining position, if they had come out after Tea then non of this would have happened and it could have been discussed overnight about what the problem was.

There is no evidence that Pakistan have done anything. I believe the umpire Darrell Hair is in the wrong here.

Oh right, the Pakistanis are cheats and the English team are just about the next greatest thing since the wheel.

As Skateboarder pointed out, no one on eihter side of this argument has a solid argument. So we should probably just wait until the **** falls back down from the fan.

ok i dont want to start and argument but you are blind mate, if you want i can give you money for checkups dont worry ;). First of all there is no prove that we are cheats, the umpire is saying that we tampered the ball and you call us cheats without any prove! if the umpire had said that a random englush player told him "go to hell" without any proove would you believe it?.

The ball started reverse swinging, Pakistan are in a winning situation. There is no reason to temper the ball then.

Also Hair has been known for controversies with Asian teams.

I was wondering how an England-Pakistan test series could end without any drama, and here it is.

From what I heard from the PCB chairman, Pakistan were only staging a couple of minutes protest to the ball-tampering accusation. They did not refuse to come out to play. They only meant to delay the start of play after tea as a form of protest. But then when the team was getting ready to come out, the umpires removed the bails and walked off.

As for the orginal accusation, I don't think Pakistan would be stupid enough to tamper with the ball when all the cameras were watching, or while Darrell Hair was keeping a sharp eye on the ball throughout. From what I've seen of the Sky footage, no ball tampering took place. I don't believe, and I hope I'm proven right, that Hair had any conclusive evidence that Pakistanis tampered with the ball. In which case it was a totally unfair accusation, and Hair should be punished for jumping the gun like that.

It was also interesting to note that Hair said nothing to Inzamam even after he called for a different ball on his walkie. He must not have felt it was necessary to inform the fielding captain of an allegation of ball tampering against his team. It wasn't until Inzamam walked up to Hair and asked him what was going on that Hair showed him the ball. In my personal opinion, Hair is a bully.

Yeah, that's why I thinking off. Enough is enough. He has already done enough damage. And not only in this Test match.

I think Rameez Raja got a little knocked off at the end.. Hair has been reported by all the Asian teams. Srilanka, Pakistan, and India have major complaints at Hair.

Another thing, the ball had started to reverse around the 50th over in the first two innings of match as well.

moving on..

Shoaib to play ODI series, the series would be fun if we have DIFFRENT MATCH OFFICIALS :).

Malik's in the squad as well. For those wondering about the future of the tour, Shehryar Khan has already said that he has no problems with the ECB and he hopes that this drama doesn't affect the ODI series in anyway.
