Interesting to see Zaheer Abbas saying that if the Pakistani's are cleared of ball tampering, he hoped the result in the match would be reversed.

Simple logic Zaheer, if you didn't want England to win, your team shouldn't have forfieted.

They lost the match cos they didn't take to the field..not due to ball tampering.

Thanks heavens for all the asian teams that the old scumbag hair is seemingly going out. Racism is last thing that our sport needs and with hair's removal that may be solved. He has proven time and again that he is biased against pakistan with decisions that we all know (rememeber peterson getting a huge inside edge early on that darryll failed to pick up). IMO Hair may also be involved with bookies and he used his powers to implicate pakistan in a crime that he can never prove to influence the result of the match. Anyways I am happy that he is going out with such dishonour which he offcourse has earned. Go team Pakistan and show them how to reverse it real big.

Why is that you accuse Hair of being racist due to his incompetence? He's equally as bad to all nations. I can't remember any Aussies calling Allem Dar or Steve Bucknor racist last year and they made some shockers.

I dont even think Hair is all that incompetent, I'd rate him up there somewhere near the best of the current crop. All umpires will make bad decisions sometimes they dont have the benefit of slow motion replays or hawkeye etc. OK, sometimes he makes shockingly bad decisions but all umpires do, at least he has the courage to back his instincts.

If you had heard the commentary at that moment all the commentators were sure that pietersoh had nicked it big and i did hear the nick myself straight away. And when was the last time and aleen dar or bucknor accused any team of any such crime.

Exactly; What a lot of people forget is that Umpires don't get a second chance to make a decision, they have to make their mind up on what they saw and go with their instinct. In my opinion, KP was clearly out at Headingley, but only after the replays proved so, but it wasn't quite so conclusive when it was live.

Dear evertonfan the point is that he is saying they tampered with the ball but he has failed to give any proof. Its like accusing some of a crime and everyone else can just believe the accuser and label the accused as criminal. When ball is 55 over it is bound to reverse especially with Pakistani bowlers. It was not that if the ball started reversing in 10th over. Hair had no grounds to prove it and looking at his track record viz a viz asian players i feel he is biased.

Perhaps you also missed the statement in the conference yesterday in which Hair stated he may sue written and/or electronic press for defamation.
Due to that above I strongly suggest you retract your opinion for yours and this boards good.
And I ask you one question.

I cant see how you could call it a draw either, as for null and void. Ok fine call a match that is abandoned after a handful of overs void but you cant really say a match that went that long didnt happen can you? Although not a great way to end a match I cant see any other result as valid either.
