I can see Mahmood getting at least 3 wickets today, if he plays.

If he bowls like he did on Saturday then I agree, he'll be a handful. However, if we see the other Mahmood, then the only wicket he'll get will be Afridi when he tries to hit that 6th consecutive six off him. :

Come on Saj, that bowler we saw on Saturday was a champion.

You just watch Afridi today, he'll get to about 20 and then play a ridiculous shot that will be skyed and caught. His bowling is good, but I don't think it's good enough to rectify his irresponsibility.

well i had a match the other day and i got 12 off 4 balls and got a not out, and it boosted my confidence, and the bowlers have more trouble getting you out. the same with afridi, he smashes the ball everywhere against the fast bowlers and spinners so hes getting more confident, and getting runs on the board, then he comes in early, so basicly hes just getting the innins off to a flyer then if they loose him, they have all there other batsman to come in

Afridi has been a better bowler than batter in the last couple of ODI series that he has played in, he did good with the ball against Sri Lanka but to take him out of a ODI squad because his batting hasnt been good lately would be just stupid. And also Afridi needs to open i dont care what anyone says, with the fielding restrictions he can destroy the bowlers.

I can't believe there is even a question of Afridi's place in our ODI side. The man has single handedly won matches for Pakistan with both his batting and bowling. To be perfectly honest, I am not a big fan of his, but to say he is a liability in ODIs is ridiculous.

BTW, he is in the side mainly because of his bowling. He is capable of keeping it tight and picking up important wickets. Guess the bowler who has dismissed Ponting the most in ODIs? That's right, Afridi.
