May not be 100% Mahmoods fault, HOWEVER, he bowls one over that goes for over 20 runs in every innings..

I do agree that it wasn't entirely Mahmoods fault. But he is in the team for his pace, which means he should automatically be one of your death bowlers, firing in yorkers and slower balls. However he has no control what so ever. I've always said to my mates that Lewis should generally bowl out his 10 at the start with the new ball if he plays.

Some stats after mahmoods bowling today:
Ecomony: 6.89 Totally useless.
Average: 53.8 Again absolutely useless.

Anyone would think these could be the stats of a part time bowler whos primarily a batsman.

The more Fletcher looks at those stats the more he thinks that Mahmood is great. We all know that he has a thing for inferior players.

He bowled too many lose balls to inzi to relive pressure earlier, and how cuold it not be his (and lewis') fault in the later stages as they both bowled length balls, which deserve to be hammered.

I thought Fletcher like "jack of all trades" players?

Yet mahmood, can't bat or bowl.

England should open the batting with Mahmood....hopefully Akhtar will injure him ..

Well England's death bowling has spoiled the good work earlier.
Michael Yardy was excellent, troubled all the batsmen.

here's a challenge for all the PC members...

See if you can find an International bowl with a worse economy than Mahmood.

This can not be a part-time bowler..has to be someone who is picked for his bowling alone..

He bowled well for Lancashire in the C & G final , I just think he needs a season playing county cricket where he can get away with the odd bad ball whilst working on his control. Because with his pace, if he gains control of a good yorker, and removes the large amount of leg-side dross, he has the attributes needed to be a useful member of the side. At the moment, all that's happening is he gets taken on and falls apart.

England should have saved overs for spinners in the end...Abdul Razzaq doesnt favor spin bowling..but what a great innings from him!

so you mean apart from:

having no crontrol over his line
having no crontrol over his length
having no idea how to bowl a yorker
being unable to handle pressure situations

apart from those things he has potenetial?

His only attribute being his pace...

You just described every amateur fast bowler in the UK !

Saj Mahmood has the worst Economy of any England bowler to have taken a wicket in ODIs.

So we can officially say thaty Saj Mahmood is the worst Bowler to play ODI cricket for England EVER. :D

Indeed ali_ed2001. Fair enough the bowling wasn't upto much, but full credit to Razzaq, he held it together when needed and launched it at the right time. If Pakistan win today, very much a match winning performance.

It was fine to watch Razzler in this devestating form.

The ball was swinging a lot at the pitch and taken it with the lights, it should swing even more for the Pakistani bowlers.

But for now I would say the odds are even to win the match.
