Umar Gul is Total Crap, no joke. Just kick him out PCB, and Sami is good but not when he is needed most.

They'll really struggle with a second-class pace attack, somehow I think England may fail to take advantage.

Yeah, and I feel that the lack of advantage taking will have something to do with a certain inability to dismiss the tail. :mad

our tail is not that strong...kaneria and gul dont know how to hold the bat..never seen shahid nazir bat before...its just Sami who can bat a bit.

im still confident of pakistan doing good..we do have other good bowlers, the main thing is the batting, if batsman step up we will be fine.

everyone keeps fogeting that Razzaq can bowl so im betting on him and Asif to open the attack, he can move the ball and has done good for Pakistan since the england series. and he can do it with the bat.

OK I don't care about this series any more, Rana was last hope after Shoaib. Whats wrong with our Players??

Your players?! What about our players! We are the team with the bigger players missing!

A pat on the back from me for Durham and even for Yorkshire, who have actually released Kyle Coetzer and John Blain to play for Scotland in the ODI against Pakistan.

not really..u will get vaughan, flintoff and harmison back..only one u will be missing is simon jones i think..

we will be missing both our main bowlers rana and shoaib!

If England continues to enjoy this heatwave of sorts, Pakistan may not miss their two quicks as much as some people think.

If anything it may force them to play two spinners, and even against part-time spin like Yuvraj, Malik, Jayasaria, England have struggled in recent months.

Mushtaq could be back in the team then?

Certainly looks like he may get a call-up at the least -

Personally I always feel a lot more worried when a side picks two good spinners against England then when they pick just the one. However considering the success that Shoaib Malik had in Pakistan, they may quite correctly decide to stick with a full pace attack and have Kaneria and Malik provide the spin options. Either way, it will be another series wherein England come up against a spin bowler with a fair amount of talent and turn, and another testing series that they really need to win to get themselves back on track.

Good point, and to be honest I think he could cause a few problems on English pitches. He hurries the ball through, and if he can get a bit of bounce, and skid the ball on will not be easy to face. Perhaps the existence of two decent "part-time" spinners will allow them to pick a full pace attack.

Or in the event that England have their full pace attack, add an extra batsman.

Its obvious that England have to win (convincingly) to win the Ashes down under. I suppose it will be a case of who is injured for england.
