Its a shame Shoaib could'nt make it for this series. A lot of people expected him to be Pakistan's main weapon after his success against England in Pakistan. Well I guess the other bowlers will need to accept the responsibility and do well, but tbh no real support for M.Asif in that bowling department.

yea when batsman hear Asifs name they just say hes a good bowler but when they hear Akhtar they sort of get afraid and lets face it noone in thw world wants to face Akthars bouncers.

Wait a minute....You want him added to the squad when he's got a serious injury (needs 4-6 weeks off)? That would be stupid, the PCB, Bob Wolmer and Shoaib have done the right thing in not going.

You cannot bring an injured player to play cricket. Espescially an immensley fast bowler with a long run-up. It's so unethical, and the PCB are definatley right.

i think that Malik and maybe Akmal will do good against england, when pak played england in Pakistan Akmal did really good and thats when he got recognised as a batsman.

Shaoib will be missed, and it's real unfotunate that he misses the tour due to injury, but it's about time that a key player from another team got injured, rather than any more English!!

Don't jump the gun just yet. English players have a habit of getting injured just a couple of weeks before the first match. Thay start dropping like flies.

I hope he makes it, I always like to see both countries best teams going at it together. Not many people would be happy if Vaughan, Tresco, Kp, Freddie and Hoggy were all out injured (I release the irony that in the last few months all of those have at some stage been absent )

Likewise I want to see Pakistans best side in England, and it is already a shame Akhtar will miss the series.
