Is 345 not enough? I think we should have declared at tea--now this match is heading towards a draw. The Indian players in the dressing room are unphased, sitting there in their t-shirts still. What's going on?

theres still 35 overs left of play the indians should bat it out untill the last 12 overs then they should put pakistam into bat

if india declared at tea there was a chance of pakistan winning

so batting aggrsive at the moment is right thing to do for the indians

if pakistan can build a good partnership i see them winning this match

and unless this pitch Detoriates by tommorrow ill say that india have no chance of winning.

pakistan can actually win this match

Naah I dont think Pakistan can win. I dont think India are capable of playing that poor cricket. Besides India have two really good spinners, and am some what expecting them to do the job for the team come tomorrow.
But still a draw remains the most likely result. They have a good batting lineup, do Pakistan.

What are you talking about? :p :)
The high scores are normally shown largest to smallest, so it should have been Dravid, Karthik and Tendulkar and not Dravid, Tendulkar and Karthik.

I think he's doing scores in batting order, hence that was correct. As for the result of this match, I think someone will definitely win. 320 in a day is par score nowadays, although the pitch deterioration will slow down the run rate. The only way I see Pakistan playing out for a draw is if they are about 150/5 at lunch. 324 runs is roughly 108 runs per session. India scored 274 runs in 2 and a half sessions whereas Pakistan blasted 95 in half a session. Afridi cannot be repeated but only 9 wickets fell in a day of mostly aggressive cricket. The only way that India will win/match will be draw is if the pitch deteriorates enough to cause Pakistan to go into their shell. Let's see. Hopefully everything will fall together. :P

if india declared at tea with 345 runs pakistan would probably only needed 220 runs to win on the final day so ganguly made the right decision. the declaration could of decided who would of won this match

i still put india as strong favourites only because it is a day 5 pitch if it was day 1 pitch pakistan strong fav but however someone like youhnna and inzamam can put it into pakistans way. pakistans only danger i think is balaji and kumble they have bowled superblywhereas pathan and bhajji have not impressed me

Hi guys!, I'm curious now to know that is there any penalties(match fees cut, suspension etc..)for umpires?, if that's not the case will really suck!, Poor players gets all the penalties, but what abt the umpires?(they r also making lot of mistakes u know!), seriously ICC have to look on this thinks to provide good umpiring standard!,

One Poor Decision will turn the game completely!, Look out guys!, lot of appeal tomorrow btw IND v PAK at EG,kolkata infront of 75000+ ppls, final day!, pressure match!, Hope the umpires will correct their mistakes!, what do u say?

Ya!, Bhajji and Pathan looked less match fit to me!, I think our fielding also pretty worst i think!, apart from kaif's spectacular stop at fence, its pretty below avg!(ex: kumble's poor fielding at on side cost IND 4 runs, Nehra(i wonder, why not Yuvraj, instead of nehra!)cost us 4 runs today when the ball hit by umar on cover side!.

Indians should improve their fielding skills to compete at high levels!, I think the senior pros don't take the fielding drills more seriously!, if thats the case look for AUS!, even Mcgrath, gillespie, kaspro all doing great!, i wonder what IND will do in this dept?

I also think the same. Pakistan after the Afridi blitz would have regrouped their confidence to go for a win! And if they go for a win, then India also has the chance of picking wickets which in turn gives them a win. So, I expect either team to win tomorrow!

Yuvraj has been released to play some domestic tournament for his home team, Punjab. He is currently playing in Mumbai for Punjab. He also had some altercations with the spectators in that match and it came on the news. Yuvraj is now not on Kolkatta!

As they say... hindsight is 20-20. In hindsight, maybe Ganguly's decision to bat on a little longer was justified. However, we will only find out tomorrow, after the game is over. If India had declared at tea with a lead of 345, and Afridi had batted as he did, Pakistan would only require 255 on Day 5. Let's just see how the pitch pans out and see if the Pakistan batsmen can apply themselves.
