This is what I feel might happen and I know many wont agree with this (probably a 10% will agree)...

INDIA can and WILL WIN THIS MATCH!!! Its there for the taking. Pakistan made a mistake by not shutting out the option of India winning by declaring at 383. Had they scored 20 more runs, they would have got that psychological lead of 400 and that would have totally shut India's mind out from winning this. Its more of a psychological lead. Now, India with Sehwag in the lead have been scoring at around 4 an over. We now require 358 runs at 3.93 per over. If Sehwag gets going in the first session tomorrow, I see an Indian victory within the closest distance!

I certainly wish the team doesnt resort to drawing this match and saving the series win. Thats not good cricket. If that happens, then Pakistan will walk off with all plaudits and people will appreciate them a lot for having made India work hard for their win, etc etc (many predicted a 2-0 or 3-0 win in India's favor at the start). We have not played badly this series at all (except for Ganguly & Pathan) and this is the time we need to be positive and just go for a win. Even a leveled series wont do any wrong but our heads might come out held high!

We should attack from the start tomorrow. I wish Sachin rests his new found approach for at least tomorrow and plays his natural strokefilled game!!! We need him badly tomorrow. I dont want his 35th hundred if it comes at the cost of an Indian win!! I want him to just close those bl**dy mouths which say he plays for himself and his records!! Its one of the best chances for him and that too, when he is in a good form. Ganguly and the whole team can do it..

If it Australia there was a slight chance. But I think with India, its very unlikely. If you remember, in Kolkata, even Pakistan was talking about chasing the target on the last day, but its not that easy.

So....a draw is the most likely outcome. If India do anything foolish, they might end up losing the match. Now I wouldnt want that to happen.

I think if India go for the draw they will inevitably get out. They should just bat as if it is the first innings, without thinking of the target. Put away the bad balls and fend off the other deliveries. That way they won't run the risk of becoming over-defensive. It shoudl be a great day of test cricket, though, that's for sure. great, so after concentrating hard thru bowlers run up, face a 85 mph ball, play his shot, Sachin should somehow switch his mind to how the delivery looked from umpires end, judge the swing/seam, judge if it was not pitched out side the line or hit out side the line, and it was indeed going to hit the stumps, and do all this in couple of seaonds!!! and then walk. hmm well Shahid most of his fans do consider him a god but this is asking too much now.

and someone mentiond Gilli walking, I can't imagine him or any batsman in history walking on a lbw appeal!

Dont put up ridiculous arguments just for arguments sake Shailesh, you are better than that. Look at my post carefully and you will see that I said that in ONE of these cases he should have walked. Obviously (or maybe not too obviously to YOU) I was talking about the one where he inside edged the ball and was given not out caught by the silly mid off guy. Why would I or anyone else for that matter even think about a batsman walking on a LBW????

if you expect Sachin to walk tell me how many times opposing teams including Pakistan have called him back when it was obvious that he was wrongly given out? That's why they say things even out in cricket.
and for him walking, I know for a fact that He was never known to hang around for many years but may be after recent streak of wrong decisions (led by bucknor) that went against him, things have changed. and can you blame him for that?

I think india can draw or win it now ... pakistan can win it too.. like i said before a draw was the biggest outcomes in this match but one question we all want our home countries to win.. my home country is india... and i want them to win also ...but see the mental state of india will be rough... its the last day its a huge score to make in 1 day... the gotta play something like a one day match to win it... they have to hit at times and not just block every shot... maybe india can make it cause india did make bout 379 in 1 full day... in the 3rd day...so it will be close theres 3 possible out comes... my suggestion to india... try to win it if can't draw it... for pakistan... try to win it so they can draw the series at least... but lets hope india wins and not pakistan lol Go INDIA Go

a decent one day run rate is 5 runs per over. the required run rate for India to win today will be 3.93 runs per over and thats almost a test run rate (made a test run rate by Australia)..

i feel shewag will play a crucial role today, if he is there till the lunch intervel and indian dont loose more than 2 wickets (i.e. by lunch), i think india are in with a chance.

the runrate is no problem coz as long as shewag is in the middle runs keep flowing.

saisrini mentioned that the reqd. runrate is abt 3.93, with shewag around it is not a big problem at all, infact his stay at the crease will ensure a runarate abt 4.5 odd.

this will make the other batsmen job pretty easy.

as i said earlier all depends on shewag, if he is there till lunch india r in with a big chance
