Pakistan in Sri Lanka - Jul-Aug 2009

Abdur Rauf made more runs then the Pakistani openers. Pakistan need to win this match, because in next match Muralitharan might come back. Maybe even Malinga.

Sri Lanka have sent in Herath as nightwatchman, so Pakistan should target him tomorrow.

Within two days 20 wickets fell. That's not good actually.

Those who are scoring runs with the bat should be happy about themselves, because it looks difficult scoring runs on this pitch. The number of wickets fallen in these two days tell the story.

Never seen a nightwatchman sent in as opener. He will have to score quickly tomorrow or should just retire hurt and come back later.

I disagree with this statement about the amount of wickets which have fallen during the past two days. This only helps teams get a positive result rather than a boring drew. In fact I've been pretty suprised with the pitch so far and I hope it continues to assist the bowlers as it helps make it an even contest between bat and ball.

Very interesting match so far. Pakistan need to get Sri Lanka out for 250 or less. I don't think we can chase more than 200 here. Average 4th innings score is 156 here.

sounds like ur wish is coming true. Sri Lanka 138-6 already.
Younis has 4 wickets this match, he had 2 in his career before the match started. what the hell !

Sri Lanka all out for 217 with a lead of 167. Pakistan need 168 in 2 and a half days. It will be a big task for Sri Lanka's bowlers. As much as I love Sri Lanka, I don't think they can do it.

Pak still in control, they still need 112 runs and 8 wickets in hand...

Younis is making good use of the conditions here..he was seaming the ball more than one of our frontline bowlers!

Pakistan have a good chance to win this, I just hope they don't make a mess of this.

Ajmal has been impressive on debut as has Aamer. Paranavitan has been the best SL batter, just a shame no one wanted to support him.

I hope New Zealand get these types of conditions when they go over there next month.
