THRILLING START!!!

1zz4.jpg

Pakistan have got off to a thrilling start despite the fact that in the first over Butt was droped for 0 but after that let off Butt single handedly has gone of to a rocket start with some big 6s and 4s to make the crowd stand up and applaud.

We will bring you some stats and updates shortly but for no wheres some highlights!!!

Great story, dude, but you have some major problems with the Pakistani line-up!

1. Kamran Akmal is definately not an opener; he needs to bat at the No.8 spot.
2. Shoaib Malik, however, is one of Pakistan's most reliable openers these days and thus should open with Salman Butt.
3. Younis Khan is our man at No.3. He's been wasted at the No.6 spot. He's been batting third for a while now and is doing great at that position.
4. Shahid Afridi should be at the No.6 spot. I noticed that you used him as an opener in the last match (and to be fair he did score 60 runs) but I'm glad to see that he's been moved down the order now: That is where he is the most destructive. If you juggle the order around as I have suggested above, then Afridi will fit nicley into the No.6 spot.

Other than that, it's all good. Inzi should definately bat at No.4, followed by MoYo. Good luck with the story! :happy

yh i was just playing around with the lineup like they had it in 2004-2005 i like that one and Akmals opened a few times but thanks for the suggestions anyhow im a bit behind the Pakistan team as of late!!!

i agree afridi shouldnt open.. unless its a 300+ target to chase then you should open with him.. great story mate... keep it up

PAKISTAN A BT WOBBLEY!!!

Pakistan have been battling hard and it sort of makes them look on top as the total and runs have come very quick but they have lost vital wickets of the likes of Kamran Akmal who went for a juicey ball on the offstump but it did anothing besides get edged towards the gully area where the fielder took a sharp catch to get rid of this key batsman early!!!

Then Shoaib Malik went shortly after this as he was looking defensive the bowlers took imdiate advantage of this and gave him tempting balls to get him driving and he did so which lead to a soft dissmissal. Also something which probably didnt go New Zealands way was a good shout against Inzi who looked to be trapped right in front but the umpire thought differently from the bowlers and fielders as Inzi got a lucky life line can he make use of it?

PAKISTAN FIRST INNINGS!!!

Since the early breakthroughs Pakistan took total control or shall we say Inzy and Butt took total control as both men made the total for Pakistan. From the start Butt was taking control of the match with big hits it seemed like he was on his own until Inzy joined him at the crease and both men powered there way throught the Innings with 100s to both their names giving their team a huge chance of notching up another!!!

New Zealand also have the ability to win this as they showed in the last match that their batting line-up is no joke with the likes of Flemming , Astle and more this match could really go either way lets see what happens stay tuned!!!

2nd INNINGS HIGHLIGHTS!!!

The 2nd Innings have started in a very quick manor as both teams look to have aggressive moods with New Zealand hitting out with some boundaries but also loosing one wicket which came from Mohammed Asif who took a quite simple C&B dissmissal to get his first to his name Pakistan need to keep the pressure on and get a few more!!!

They also probably missed out on two more wickets one was a inccedent befor the first wicket where Shoaib Akther bowled a delivery which nipped back and wrapped the batsman on the pads and would have been LBW no doubt had it not been a no ball.

Then after the first wicket had fallen in the same over that Asif took the wicket he got a edge of Flemming and it was dropped by Akmal. Once again Flemming survives early can he do the same damage as last time?

PAKISTAN GET A COUPLE!!!

Pakistan have done what was needed by getting a few wickets after they got the first.

At times they may have thought some of the batsman arent going to go for eg Flemming after being let off once again this time dropped by a diving Mohammed Asif near the boundary ropes. But luck nearly always runs out as Razzaq done what Pakistan failed to take advantage of twice and took the wicket of Flemming by clean bowling him befor he could do further damage!!!

Then Astle took comand for a very short while with a few 4s but lost his concentration and got himself out really with a light dissmissal caught in the infield to leave the Kiwis in more trouble!!!

new zealand need to settle down here. 2 more wickets and we are exposed

NEW ZEALAND JUST ABOUT THROWN IT AWAY!!!

The Kiwis have just about thrown away this 2nd ODI as they have virtually stopped scoring and lost wickets and basically looked in trouble!!!

After the few wickets fell the Pakistanis kept the pressure on as required and did not allow the Kiwis to breath as Razzaq posed threats by appealing for a LBW shout that was not given it did look like the batsman did enough to get outside the line of the offstump. But then a few overs later Sami struck with the same appeal to get rid of Macmillan who this time missjudged a delivery and decided to leave the vicious in-swinger which wrapped him on the pads and it was instantly out although there were doubts that it might have been missing off stump but Hawk-Eye says it would have been cliping the edge of Offstump...
