But i feel, since its a Tewnty20, 77 in 10 Overs is not that bad or not that gud.. They shd look for score around 200 to be safe

Smith Departs​

Well, after the fifteen overs skipper Greame Smith has just been dismissed to a full flighted delivery by Shoaib Malik. Tempted Smith hit out and was caught simply by Imran Nazir.

Smith Wicket​

Herschelle Gibbs was the new batsmen. He straight away got to work smashing 18 off Shahid Afridi's over then 14 off Malik's over then 16 off Shabbir Ahmed's penultimate over. He has smashed 8 sixes and has reached his 50 off just 18 deliveries.

Pakistan have 5 overs to go and if Gibbs and Kallis stay till the end, they may well reach 210+!.

Double Breakthrough For Pakistanis​

Abdur Rehman has got the breakthrough as he got Gibbs and Prince both in consecutive deliveries. Gibbs attempted to hit a flighted delivery by Abdur Rehman. Gibbs looked to hit out but just didn't get enought distance and was caught on the boundary. Prince also came in and played the exact same shot to Gibbs but still geld out. Everyone gave an standing ovetion when Gibbs was walking back to the dressing room. Well done Gibbs It was a great knock!

Jaques Rudolph has replaced Prince at the crease joining Kallis who is on 40. Kallis is still there. These are the crucial 5 overs to go.

Kallis continued scoring his runs. To everyone's suprise, newcomer Rudolph was also scoring runs quickly. Rudolph got some useful boundaries but was struggling a bit. Meanwhile, Kallis reached his 50 and got a warm acknowledgement from the fans.

Atlast, the South African Innings had finished on 203/4 with a handy 14 runs coming off the last over bowled by Shahid Afridi.

The Protiers Take 2 Early

The Protiers have struck early as Haffez and Akmal take that walk back to the pavilion. Ntini struck first. He bowled an beautiful rising delivery which Hafeez tried to Hook but instead he managed to get a top-edge on it. A very good catch by Rudolph. Next was Kamran Akmal. This time it was Pollock. He bowled a slower ball, intrigued Kamran into the cover drive and was very simply caught by Ashwell Prince at Cover.

South Africa were delighted with the start. But in his 1st game on his reture, Imran Nazir started very agressivley smashing Pollock and Ntini for a couple of boundaries. He has quickly raced onto 21 off just 14 deliveries.


Well, 5 Overs ended, South African bowlers have bowled well so far and took 2 early wickets. Imran and Malik need to build a partnership.
