True and honest article by Mark Nicholas Mark Nicholas: We need Pakistan as much as it needs us | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo
True that, This would be a chance for him to prove that he really among great test cricket captains if not a great player. But I personally believe that the game is bigger than proving to the World. If he feels he would still contribute to the team at a good level by end of next year He should give it a shot
WHAT? He's 41, he deserves to retire whenever he wants. Our test team wouldn't be where it is now if it wasn't for him.If he just left now, knowing we have important away tours next year, he would truly be a coward
So you want him to coward out when we need him the most?WHAT? He's 41, he deserves to retire whenever he wants. Our test team wouldn't be where it is now if it wasn't for him.
No, I don't want him to "coward out", as you say, but if he decides to retire after this series, I will fully understand and respect his decision. So you want him to coward out when we need him the most?

Let me guess: you were among those criticising him even when he was our best batsman in ODIs.He is quite fit, probably one of the fittest in the team, if he does retire, then he will truly coward out of the big uns.
I don't see that linking with the current discussion.Let me guess: you were among those criticising him even when he was our best batsman in ODIs.
