Wow, that was a collapse of huge proportions. This Australian bowling lineup has a good look about it - Starc, Hazlewood and Bird complement each other nicely. The only thing that's left is the dropping of Lyon, even though he was unusually threatening today. Once Cummins/Pattinson regain their fitness and confidence, they can replace Bird.


Starc should be rested for the next test as a precautionary measure. He's made of glass as we all know and Australia need him fit for the India tour. He's perhaps the second most important player after Smith.

Bird has been bowling well so far.

Definitely, he's a player who gives his all but in the long-term, he should be a backup plan at best. Wouldn't really be a threat on subcontinental pitches where Australia can probably afford to pick only one of him and Hazlewood. Cummins/Pattinson have pace which will be really useful when playing in conditions that favour batsmen.

Looks like Indians are overjoyed. Well The bowling is to blame. Pakistan pull up good efforts in the series unlike the last experience but got confused at the end. The pace battery is a serious concern. The captaincy is as pathetic as you can ask for. I would just ask for Misbah's retirement not Younis. The team needs Younis at this stage. Hopes Management won't panic on this. Their selection decisions are to blame as well.

What makes you think that the Indians are overjoyed? I just felt gutted at the result and gave an objective review of the performance.

I believe Pakistan should not let down and come hard in the 3rd test. If they win there in SCG, It would be boost them up once again as a team. One fine team performance needed. Younis Khan and Babar Azam needs to click now. Avoid Sohail Khan and Induct Imran Khan in place of him. Needs a good bowling performance. They have nothing to loose now, should come in SCG for a Win to have a great morale booster and team is very capable to do that

Strongly disagree with Pakistan fans who think Misbah should be axed. For me, he can still be very useful, particularly in mentoring the youngsters. The Pakistan team has a lot of talent, the main issue is that both the openers score at a very slow rate. Talent wise, a top three of Sami Aslam, Azhar Ali and Babar Azam is right up there with the best in the world. They need to adopt a more attacking approach in order to get the best out of their talent.

I wouldn't drop Sohail. His batting is very useful.

To be honest, I never doubted that we'd lose this match after Australia declared. It was always going to happen. This team bats like pussies under pressure. Edgbaston is just one example.

He was included in the lineup as a pure bowler, not an AR. If 6 batsmen in a team can't score, then no one can.
