Pakistan should leave players like the Akmal brothers, Butt and Asif in the past and move on. You can add probably Malik and Shehzad to that list as well. These players are either proven failures at the highest level or have incidents for which there is no redemption. Amir is an exception due to his young age.

Not sure about Cartwright being given a chance personally, should've waited longer. Would've gone with a pure batsman like Patterson.
